*Official* English Football Season 2006-07

Tom Halsey

International Coach
It was hardly "brilliant" at all, it was extremely ordinary, Carrick did a bit of a Lampard and covered up a mediocre performance with a goal.

Chuckles at Wrighty's salivating and general use of the word 'quality' at half time when talking about Carrick. :D

Iain Dowie to be the next Coventry manager i hear.
Whoever takes over will be facing the biggest challenge of their career.

How to get a bunch of mediocre muppets to play football - we'd probably do no worse if we turned ourselves into "celebrity football club" for the rest of the season and got random Z-listers such as Darren Gough and Mark Ramprakash in.

Finances tight at a board level? Well sacking managers doesn't help.

We once had Daley Thompson playing for us for what was 'a laugh' presumably.

Interested to read media reports coming out that Curbishley has three games to turn things around otherwise he's gone.

Venables on the short-list as his replacement.

Can it get any worse for West Ham?

The international game will go next
imo its already gone, players dont try anywhere near as hard for their country.

Brillaint 1st half performance for Michael Carrick, geez what can't these blokes play like that for England.
because he doesnt care probably, more concerned with picking up his pay packet from Utd, lets face it, why would they have any motivation to try, most of these players are multi millionaires anyway, and yes, to see spain overcome a piss poor england side was a great thrill for me.

thats just idiotic, but imo the way they have handled the their affairs e.g. the sacking of pardew, they deserve to go down anyway, same goes for charlton.

I see your Howard Wilkinson and I raise you one Brian Little

Only because he was at Liverpool Uni while playing for Tranmere. :p
Ah I never knew that. He is from Norris Green though.

We still produced Dixie Dean though, I'm not convinced England has produced a better footballer, and as such, we are the greatest team ever.
