77/5 off 24 now, with Gonasilan scoring particularly quickly - he's now 9 from 42, having been at one point on 2 from 37 balls faced!

UPDATE: Bugger, spoke far too soon. Three balls later (managing 4 whole byes), he's gone. 82/6 now, with the tail exposed.

Four boundaries in the last couple of overs:

End of Over 28: 158-0, runrate=5.64
Burton 4-0-21-0
Armstrong* 91 (86 balls)
Wheat 66 (82 balls)

Wish I hadn't bothered playing Tawanda now. They've still got their usual top 3 who get wonderful top order, should be interesting seeing Summers go up against it bowling straight through.

Good job I didn't GFI; would've been a complete waste. 115-4 after 30, tail in next. Can only hope my last two batsmen manage to slog the next ten, otherwise I'm looking at being skittled for an embarrassing total. So much for damage limitation.

96/10.

I've got no chance - just got to home that my NRR doesn't suffer _too_ much.

Badger - what's your pitch like?

Armstrong never seems to go on to far once he gets his 100, that's his 15th hundred and his top score is still only 141. Should get 300+ easily. Badger's playing on a flat pitch I think.

What aggression-setting do you have him on?

Edit: 5000th post. Better make it memorable.

I really, really enjoy coffee in the morning.

I nearly always have my top 7/8 all on attacking. Very attacking usually doesn't seem to make much different apart from making someone more likely to get out, or if they're crap they do one of those 12 off 50 inningses.

Hmm scored 50-1 off the 5 pre-slog overs.

Ouch. Who knew Boycott's gran would turn out to be rather good?

Badger - what's your pitch like?
Playing away on a flat one. Got all my bowlers set to v.defensive so should restrict him somewhat, but I'm looking at a total of 220 tops at the minute. At least now they're starting to cut loose a bit...

Edit: and of course instantly there goes Platt, in comes the tail and I'm looking at 180 tops. Bah.

Edit edit: Man, it's galling when your one remaining batsman is taking singles off the first ball, and the commentary says:

Code:
42.1	1	Connelly to Janes
Drops it down on the leg side and they steal a quick single. [b]Clever cricket.[/b]

Could be trouble for you, then.

I'm getting absolutely mashed - 40/0 off 6.4 overs, and it's pretty much over.
Oh, no "could be" about it, I think - all out for 185. Well, commiserations. At least it's Friday, and mere hours from beer o'clock. :)

'Course, the barman tends to be less sympathetic when you tell him it's your imaginary cricket team's sorrows you're drowning, but eh...

Got a brilliant 70 off the last 10, D-L predicts I would score on average 109/110 runs but what would it know it's only based on reality...

Also is it just me or do batsmen seem to hit their first ball away for runs or get out far too often after a wicket? After a wicket my various batsmen did 4, 4, out, 3. Maybe it's just because of the slog overs that that happens where players are incredibly adept or useless on their first delivery.

Hmm wishing you GFIed yet badger? You might well have scored a lot more than 185 and you've already taken two wickets...

Weird first over from Pace:

Code:
1.6 [B]1[/B] Pace to Chandrasiri
An easy single, as Chandrasiri opens the face and runs it down to third man.
1.5 [B]1[/B] Pace to Hemmings
On the back foot, played out to the on.
1.4 [B]1[/B] Pace to Chandrasiri
They had to run quickly, a direct hit would have got him.
1.3 [B]1[/B] Pace to Hemmings
Attempted yorker, well played by Hemmings to the vacant mid wicket region for a single.
1.2 [B]3[/B] Pace to Chandrasiri
Chandrasiri will have to settle for three after his cover drive didn't quite make the ropes.
1.1 [B]W[/B] Pace to Vincent
[COLOR="Red"]That one was dug in very short with a nasty bounce. Vincent ducked right down to evade it, but is hit on the helmet and given out - LBW. [/COLOR]

Summers still hasn't taken a wicket yet and just got hit for six again... righto.

I got 388, bot is currently 58/5. Would be more interesting if I had some competition. But then again, I'd probably get mashed.
