Bugggggggggggggg

Code:

Last Wicket: Griffin c. Stamps b. Lennon [B]106 [/B](FOW: 196/4)
40.6 W	Lennon to Griffin
It's in the air.....and OUT! Excellent fielding from Stamps. He had some ground to make up but he got there in the end and held onto the catch.
40.5 .	Lennon to Griffin
Fullish ball just outside off stump, gets right across and in behind it, turning it away straight to short mid wicket.
40.4 1	Lennon to Canning
 	 	Canning takes a quick single.
40.3 4	Lennon to Canning
He ate his weetabix today. That's pure strength and four runs added to the total.
40.2 1	Lennon to Griffin
Cuts the ball to third man.
40.1 1	Lennon to Canning
Flicked around to wide mid wicket for a single.

End of Over 40: 189-3, runrate=4.73, reqrunrate=4.40 (232-4)
Downey	10-2-39-0
Canning*	35 (53 balls)
[B]Griffin	87 (103 balls)[/B]
He didn't make 106. He did face 106 balls though...

In terms of the game, that wicket makes it interesting. I've got Tedstone and Canning in now, but another wicket brings in Terry and Thatcher (both respectables) and then the bowlers.

Edit: Has happened all game it seems. Is this a new thing, or am I just being slow again?

Re-edit: Uh oh, Tedstone out for 19 off 10, 5/220. Please don't collapse :(

Wikus killed them with the ball. Very easy win, and fairly decent TIE ratings id say, going to GFI in 2 weeks, against 2nd, just to see my ratings :p

Got an easy TIE win today. Against Hackney, they batted and made 247, with my openers taking four apiece and Martyn getting 2/16 from his 10. The all-rounders got hammered, as per usual. 0/68 apiece.

Chased it down without losing a wicket in 36 overs. Slaytor not out on 129 and Mabaso on 111.

Should be a bit of an NRR boost. Also, it's my first game with my newly upgraded stadium, so I packed in 11924 people. My best attendance before this one was 6845.

On a dusty track, where they have superb spin ratings, I really don't think I have much of a prayer...

Playing a bot today, rolled them for 213. I was a bit worried earlier when they were 1/60 odd after 10, but they got rolled after that. Cooksey got his first 5-fers, can't remember what he finished on though. So far my batsmen are making the most of a flat pitch, i changed my pitch so they got some batting practiced and improved their stats. I think i might go Hard and Fast for the next bot match though. Also got a handly 134k in gate reciepts, so i'll be expanding my stadium again as i probably sold out 3 out 4 stands again. No one bid on Ferrier yet, so it looks like its back to Plan A for transfers.

EDIT: Won by 10 wickets in the end with Clayton finishing on 119*(97) and Quintin 96*(75). Cooksey had figures of 5/49(10) and Priyantha took 2 wickets so his 6 wickets off 100 for the club. Once he reaches the 100 mark he will be sold. Ratings were respectable/competent for batting and med/med for bowling (2nd string bowling attack though).

Haha Cameron you'd give Canning the MOTM even if he carried the drinks :p (although i agree, he deserved it)

Clapo's XI (TIE) demolished glenavonjfc by 334 runs today. Ludlow made his 1st ever Ton, despite me saying no-one had eariler, that stupid bug said he was dismissed for 86, yet it was 86 balls he faced

Meyer again was the star with the ball, with 6-20 from his 7 overs.

Clapo's XI 4-375 (50)
Ludlow 101(85), Appleyard 82(51), Stroud 81(81), Orourke 61(56)
Oneill 0-66(1), Corden 0-69(10), Gulliver 1-75(10)

glenavjonfc 10-41(13)
Wasserman 18(26), Extras 14, Allison 8(5)
Meyer 6-20(7), Verhoeven 3-19(5), Groves 1-2(1)

Clapo's XI glenavonjfc
Top Order: competent abysmal
Middle Order: mediocre abysmal
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: competent abysmal
Spin Bowling: useless abysmal
Fielding: woeful woeful

MOTM: Meyer

Stock Standard ratings for me nowaday's on TIE. Meyer getting MOTM was fair enough i spose, Ludlow was a little unlucky though.

10 over sitrep:

End of Over 10: 34-3, runrate=3.40
Kealey 5-0-24-1

Groves 0 (8 balls)

Couldn't've wished for much better, tbh.

Oh, bugger. Perry out for 2, Reed back in the pavilion for a golden duck.

19/2 off 5.

I messed around with my batting order a bit, dropping Reed to #3 and putting Sandwith in at #4, in the hope of my semi-rabbit openers seeing out most of the first 12 overs so that the two maestros could have a go at the lesser bowlers.

Just checked again.

42/4 off 10.

Sandwith (thankfully) and Verma in, with very little batting to come. I'm going to get skittled here - if I somehow limp past 120, I'll be pretty surprised.

Ta for the input Scaly. Went PAN in the end; am only on fair fitness and he'll be tip-top with high morale, so figured I'd never win this one, but avoided TIE to save the NRR hit. Batting, I'm 41-0 after 12 overs, and have almost seen off the main spell of his strike bowler. Of course, I was sort of banking on at least one wicket falling so I'd have my destructives on for the weaker bowlers, but never mind. Careful what you wish for, etc... :)

Hussain's their only good batsman, so once he goes they're gone. The rest are competents.

In other news, bought this guy fof 765k. I need batsmen so I just though **** it.

2xbat + fielding net for mine. Needs some fielding and wouldn't mind keeping his seconds within range of his primary. Exactly how close to proficient is he Scaly? 2 weeks on 2 nets? Meh, only bad thing about it is that he's a kiwi.
If his stamina and concentration are really low sublevels he'll take 1 week on 2 nets. Shouldn't take more than 2 weeks.

Put into bat on a hard and fast by possibly my main rivals for the league.

Armstrong just played out that Hemmings maiden.

From 85-0 after 21 to 85-2 after 22. But now come my attacking batsmen to hopefully get the run-rate going a bit.

He says, as the v.defensive opener starts hogging the strike. Bah. :)
