Remember that this squad playing is probably the future of Australian cricket. Of course NZ has a chance. Dont forget australia also being beaten by England three times. Sounds like fustration to me. New Zealand have just as much a chance of winning the world cup as any other. That comment was just plain crap tbh.

Did you even read the exchange that led to it? The whole point was that losing Oram in a match that is effectively meaningless, right before a world cup, would take the joy out of the victory, if New Zealand won. It's really not that complicated.

Yes, yes it would have. Mind you, anyone could have gotten out cheaply against the new ball on this pitch, so it's no huge indictment on Haddin that he did. Pretty lazy shot, though.

I'm hoping NZ can chase this down, I was a bit annoyed by Ponting's lack of doubt that Australia would win this series even with the under-strength squad.

Great to see Fleming put on such a brilliant captaincy display, wonder what Parore has to say for himself now.

Hussey will be annoyed at himself for getting out to McMillan, he was playing absolutely beautifully up to that point.

And now I'll desperately hope for good news from the results of the x-rays on Oram's finger.
