Even if you believe that the current aussie squad is looking like am "A" side . But then there aren't many international teams that would beat Australia A
either.
Anyway who is going to new zealand as cover for Lee since he is out of tournament.

They would probably bring Shaun Tait over according to Cricinfo. Has it been confirmed that Lee is going home?

as far as i know he's only doubtful for the 1st game... not the whole series, although that could change

I don't know much about Adam Voges tbh...(even how to pronounce his name). What's he like?
Similar sort of style to someone like Symonds, I guess. Big hitter, but doesn't usually go from ball one like White or whoever. Held the record for the fastest century in Australian domestic cricket until Ronchi broke it a couple of weeks ago.

Bowls some offies as well.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
don't see why people would favour NZ... even with all the injured Aus players how many black caps would make it into the aus side?

Bond and Vettori are probably the only two...
Current form regardless, Fleming would make it considering Symonds, Ponting, Gilchrist and possibly Clarke are out.

ta, do you think they'll play him in game 1?

Guess it depends who is available. If Clarke isn't fit, they'll have to play either Voges or Jaques. If he's fine to go I don't think Voges will play.
Yeah I suppose there's not much point, seeing he's not in the World Cup squad. Just over here as cover I would say.

McCullum over haddin give me a break!! Haddin not only a better keeper than McCullum, but he is also a far better batsman than McCullum.

IMO opinion clarke will play tomorrow as it would be his first game as vice-captain and he would not like to miss such a chance. Not only that if he doesn't play the batting will become too weak because only hodge, haydos and hussey would be left in the batting line up out of the usual side. Watson is still feeling his way into international cricket so he can't be at his best so quickly.

Every game but one in Chappell-Hadlee history has been a really close last-over finish...and I went to the one. Lee tore us apart that day.

But yeah, I love this series. Really looking forward to this year's one...with all the injuries and rested players in the Australian side we'd better at least go close to winning the trophy this time, unlikely to get a better opportunity than this.
Well we have no chance of winning game three with you heading along mate :p

Haddin's hardly proven at international level. Hyperthetically, I would say most country's international cricket selection panels, if given the option between the two, would go with McCullum.

Come on Macka Binga would never bowl a beamer intentionaly, its just a pity that both the times he bowled a beamer in C-H Trophy(in aus and Nz) the batsman on strike was McCullum.

I've seen him bowl enough beamers to suggest otherwise actually, but let's not go there as I'll probably get jumped on again. He definitely bowled a deliberate one to Razzaq too after copping a couple from him.

Personally, I don't think he bowled it intentionally the first time. But after McCullum had a big fat whinge about it the first time, I think Lee may have just done it the second time to shake him up a bit. Obviously it backfired.

He's bowled, what, half a dozen in his international career? Last one was nearly two years ago. I think maybe it happens a bit more against New Zealand because Lee tries a bit harder to bowl fast there, in the altitude etc. Never known any non-kiwi fans who had a problem with Lee over the beamers, anyway.

This one is better than either of the McCullum ones, incidentally.
