'played boys. I was gonna ask if it was a mistake Richards batting above me in the EAP game then I got put back ahead of him and scored a golden duck:dry: Conditions were tough for bowling in the second innings other than that it has been satisfactory would like to be amongst the runs though.

Personally, decent first innings but awful second. Good to see pretty much all the batsmen contribute.

Terrific knock by Garven in the first innings. Was a pleasure to watch at the other end. We're still unbeaten as well, which is a remarkable effort against such opposition.

Nice to bat and bowl a little better this game as well. Hopefully a big score is coming up.

Massive performance there from all the batsmen, with Garven, Chaulk and Dravid brilliant. Garven really putting forward a case for selection in the Test Squad with a quality innings like that.

Bowling was solid with Richards the pick of bowlers. Demeza bowled well in the first innings. But it looks like we need to work on our 2nd innings bowling performances.

One more match against Australia A and then the final, which i think we have made after the draw between Australia and NZ.

Stoked with that my batting in that game, Chaulky and Dravid unlucky to go just short of hundreds too. Great effort by the bowlers too - particularly to get them out that cheaply in the first innings.

Christ, what a slog with the ball in the 2nd innings. So hard.

Thought I held my head high with the bat, and the ball in the first. Shame about the error on the announcement, though :(

Australia A v East-Asia Pacific XI
at Cazaly's Stadium

Scorecard
Ball By Ball

A Hussey masterclass and a typical Tait spell sent East Asia Pacific one step closer to home as they fell to a ten-wicket defeat in Cairns. Despite that, they didn't embarrass themselves, with good innings coming from Brazier (92), Morea (unbeaten 45) and Dai (unbeaten 74) and a very good spell of bowling from Eliaba, who took four for 67 with pretty accurate mediums. Australia A had an off-day, particularly in the field, but Katich, Hussey and Hopes still made big scores and ensured a total of 479 in the first innings, more than enough to win.

East-Asia Pacific XI 295 & 231
Australia A 479 & 48/0

Man of the Match: DJ Hussey (Aus)

New Zealand A are thus through with a win tomorrow, with two wins and a draw. Australia A (1 win, 1 draw) and Cricket Web A (2 wins) play off for the second spot in the final assuming New Zealand A wins.
