Was at the 'G' when he got his ODI hattrick. Good call.Anthony Stuart.
Who would that be?Well I'd post the link to my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather but his cricinfo profile states "will be remembered as long as cricket is played" so it'd be quite inappropriate for this thread!
Alec Bannerman.Who would that be?
Obviously a very determined player and well-respected guy having read his profile in Cricinfo. That's a nice claim to fame Prince.Alec Bannerman.
His brother Charles, also obviously my relation, played in the first ever test match and scored 165 retired hurt - the first test century in the history of the game.Obviously a very determined player and well-respected guy having read his profile in Cricinfo. That's a nice claim to fame Prince.
I had heard of Charles. That's some cricketing pedigree you've got there mateHis brother Charles, also obviously my relation, played in the first ever test match and scored 165 retired hurt - the first test century in the history of the game.
Clearly they aren't forgotten players though, so perhaps a different thread would be more appropriate for this discussion.
Haha, Scott Muller will never be forgotten. For someone who was so mediocre and played so few tests, he'll be remembered a great deal...Paul Wilson for Australia and Scott Muller hasn't been heard of lately.
Unless it's a discussion about average cricketers who players for 12+ years, I don't see why he'd merit much mention.Ejaz Ahmad
This guy played for Pakistan for more then 12 years yet I have rarely seen his name crop up on the forum.
...why? There are better OD batsmen in England.Along with Joyce he needs to play every ODI for England.
Fairly certain he's doing that atm.I'd probably like to see Joyce opening at some point in time.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see it though.Fairly certain he's doing that atm.
Shah has already had 3 chances in ODIs and has proven quite clearly not up to it.Along with Joyce he needs to play every ODI for England. I'd probably like to see Joyce opening at some point in time.
Surely after his stupid comments about Shoaib no-one is ever going to forget him?Intikhab Alam. Very underrated allrouder.
I often wonder what his rating would be if he'd never attempted a forlorn comeback and endeed his career with a ODI average of 18...Geoff Allot
Which is still, despite the best efforts of Michael Slater, the highest percentage of a completed Test innings - the oldest Test record remaing. His brother Charles, also obviously my relation, played in the first ever test match and scored 165 retired hurt - the first test century in the history of the game.
Isn't it fair to say Joe will be the one remembered?Haha, Scott Muller will never be forgotten. For someone who was so mediocre and played so few tests, he'll be remembered a great deal...
