Forner Slams Controversial Washington
Californian opening bowler, Josh Forner, has condemned the actions of pace bowling counterpart, Manan Shah, calling his behaviour "nothing short of a farce."
"It's an absolute disgrace. Shah is clearly just an attention seeker, as he has blown this whole thing out of proportion." Said Forner in an exclusive interview yesterday. "The fact that he retalliated to the captain's initial comments in such an aggressive manner purely says to me that we have Shane Warne all over again. Best keep him away from the phone in future."
When Forner was asked what he thought of the claim of gestures Shah may or may not have made to the crowd on exiting the field of a recent match (the claims yet to be substatiated), he simply chuckled; "Well, that's just a fast bowler's short temper. I've done it before, but never when I'm actually in the spotlight."
Forner's comments are no-doubt to cause furore amongst the camps, and it has to be said that perhaps he is seeking some attention of his own.
"I just want what is best for the game of cricket, and in my eyes this whole hoo-hah down at Washington has got to stop. Let's hope it gets resolved soon."
