Amir files petition against Shah

Yet another chapter in the controversial and below par cricketing career of Washington bowler Manan Shah has surfaced as Indiana's promising young strike bowler MU Amir's lawyer has filed a petition against Shah for charges of libel.

The Washington bowler, seemingly frustrated by his own lack of success, has time and again accused Amir of ball tampering, among other things. "I ignored his remarks at first even though they were quite hurtful" said an enraged Amir, "but his accusations are non-stop and not to mention entirely baseless."

Manan Shah, who has shown great respect and appreciation towards the retired Australian bowler Glenn McGrath, has tried to emulate the legendary bowler with little success, which is sadly the beginning and the end of his career's story in Washington. He has shown his hatred towards Amir on more than one occasion due to his phenomenal season with Indiana, where he has been picking up wickets at a superb average of below 15.

The details of the lawsuit against are Shah are yet to be revealed, though this episode will only make Shah's career a bigger blight on the face of USA cricket.

Any comments made regarding alleged ball tampering were made solely to private parties and not as open accusations against Mr. Amir. Furthermore, I have no comment regarding the pending petition.

In an interview with the San Jose Times, young Black fast bowler KJ Goughy was responding to questions. Originally based around his selection to the CW A team squad, the interviewer then turned the topic to the allegations of Amirs ball tampering during US Club Cricket.

Goughy unaware of the situation and take by suprise said

"erm, hmm, they are serious allegations against any fast bowler. We have met Indiana on the field this season and non of our batsmen (California) or myself noticed anything untoward. I hope the truth comes out one way or another and justice prevails"

he added

"I know Manan and like him, but there is the Fast Bowlers Union to consider. He just attacked one of the brotherhood. We all know it is the batsmen that squeal. Even if the allegations are true it should never have come out this way from a fellow seamer."
