Watson returns with 3/60. Love that guy.

And lol at Paine by the way. Two innings, three balls, no runs.

Maxy Klinger-what a gun, delivers when needed. He stays 87* as Vics win by 3 wickets with 2 overs remaining.

Watson still bowling well it seems. Had a catch put down yesterday as well. I think he got 2 for 8 or something in the last Pura Cup game he got injured in, too. Fair figures for the season so far. Hopefully he can score a few tomorrow as well.

Victoria to win all 3 comps, qld screwed with love and kaspericz gone for the season and watson going to the world cup.Altho it could come down to brad hogg or shane watson for the last world cup spot.

Gah.... pathetic Bulls.... few team changes needed imo

Lachlan Stevens is ****, and I'm now convinced that Dan Doran has nothing, despite once beleiving he had potential & Nathan Rimmington is overhyped. FFS he's taken a Hattrick in a T20 game, and done stuff all else in his QLD career. Give Sullivan another chop, at least he looked like taken wickets.

Nick Kruger must be given another go ahead of Stevens

EDIT: Great Stuff from Watto though :)

Maher and Perren need to start producing. Truth is, our batting has been quite ordinary for the last five or six years. It's our bowling that's delivered us Pura Cup glory. Now, with Kasprowicz sidelined for the Summer and Hayden & Watson mostly absent, we are being sorely exposed.

I think Doran's main problem is that he is always bowling to such low totals. It's not at all easy for a spinner in this situation and, especially given his experience, he could either be led to be believe that he had to take a swag of wickets and hence not look to set the batsmen or, or simply not have the courage to attack with such few runs to play with.

Add this to the fact that Maher bowls him at most ridiculous times and rarely gives him the spells a spinner needs as you'll see why he's not been very effective this season.

Stevens is indeed **** though. Bring in Kruger, Nye or Buchanan IMO.

IMO Gold Coast fast bowler Chris Swann is a bit stiff not to get more games for Queensland as he didn't do to badly on his FC debut earlier this season.

good to see Watson back, hopefully he doesn't break down again. But once he doesn't i prefer to see him play with the bulls between now & the WC instead of being picked for the series in NZ.

does anyone know anything about going to the XXXX beach cricket ?
I know some have won a comp to get tickets but other than that can you still go and see it ? Do you need to get an entrance ticket or can you stand around and watch it ?

Disagree. He needs a run in the ODI side. I've got no issue with him being picked for the CB Series finals if he's fit, in fact. They're still a week or so away after all. If he doesn't have enough bowling under his belt by then he should certainly play all three games in NZ.

Waits for Watson it get re-injured in 1..2..3...

Needs to gain some sort of fitness first, its not like Australia are desperate to have him in the squad. Also unless Ponting gives White a ball sometime soon and he does something with it, other then get hit for six. Then its not like his spot in the 15 is under pressure.

Obviously it all depends on how ready he is to bowl. He's played two games for Queensland now, and bowled 12 overs in the Pura Cup game. He'll have another game or two before the Chappell-Hadlee series starts, so I'd imagine if he hasn't injured himself again before then he'll be fit enough to play three ODIs.
