Maybe but just offering my opinion on something that I didn't think was an issue at the time as the team were obviously disappointed that the game was out of reach when he reached his ton. I wasn't expecting cartwheels

Presumably losing are best bowler (Anderson) would be the reason.

More to do with his captaincy and the improvement in Flintoff's performance without having to carry that burden IMO.

Volty, agree but isn't that what happens when everyone is not quite firing - they fear for their place in the team, which breeds a certain insecurity. They don't strike me as a particularly happy bunch. But perhaps I'm reading something into it that isn't there.

For the first time this summer I'm going for the Poms. I just think it'd be hilarious to see the Poms make the final ahead of the Kiwis.

I think our confidence is coming back with the bat and we're doing ok with the ball. Obviously we got smashed for 344 the other day but that was in 40 degree heat. Australia conceded almost that much when it cooled down at night so I think we will just put it down to a very good batting pitch.

I just don't think England have the side to chase down good scores. They just don't have the power hitters like Australia and NZ do.
