Decent start for me to my league game, Fernando and Canning doing the trick

End of Over 5: 18-4, runrate=3.60
Fernando 3-1-14-3
Hiller* 0 (5 balls)
Heads 2 (2 balls)

TIEing it against one of the weaker teams in my league today (no bots, though), and resting Pieteersen since he's on 4 nets. Going pretty well so far, with them batting first.

Code:
End of Over 22: 63-3, runrate=2.86
Vedanayagam	1-0-2-0
Smith*	3 (14 balls)
Hendro	25 (59 balls)
Last Wicket: Rice b. Martyn 26 (FOW: 53/3)

We can tell you that Magical Ponies won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloud day.
Hmmm what the hell? My pitch is green...

Anyway, won my game against the worst team in the league easily

Harry's XII 40 (15.5)
Fernando 3/18 (5), Tedstone 2/2 (2.5), Canning 2/8 (5)

Magical Ponies 1/41 (11.2)
Griffin 20* (27), Kilkenny 19* (32), Terry 1 (9)

So the Terry opening experiment didn't work. At least Potgieter (2/12) went well on debut.

Magical Ponies Harrys XII

Had another easy victory bowling first this time..

Aussie 1, 58ao (24.4)
Groves 3/9 (5), Verhoeven 2/19 (7), Savage 2/8 (5)

Clapo's XI 0/60 (7)
Orourke 38(26), Ludlow 22(16)

Aussie 1 Clapo's XI
Top Order: woeful mediocre
Middle Order: abysmal mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: worthless mediocre
Spin Bowling: abysmal useless
Fielding: feeble abysmal

MOTM: Orourke

Revamped the batting order in hope of batting first and giving the lower order blokes a hit so no suprises about the Mediocre ratings playing TIE. Stupid MOTM though

TIEing vs a bot.

End of Over 50: 365-2, runrate=7.30
Sellars 10-0-80-0
Siyabonga* 100 (85 balls)
Livera 51 (35 balls)
Last Wicket: Reimann c. Sellars b. Wild 139 (FOW: 260/2)

Siya waited until the very last moment to get his maiden 100 in league cricket.

49.6 1 Sellars to Siyabonga
A sprawling dive at extra cover turned what seemed to be a certain boundary into only a single. Great fielding!
And that's a century for Siyabonga! Well played indeed Sir!

Edit: That was also Livera's maiden league 50 and Reimann's maiden league 100. Ghandi, my clutch keeper-batsman, scored 70-odd on debut for the club. Fairly pleased with the batting effort

Never got a chance to bot bash last season. There's about 5 in my division this time, though. Let the good times roll

Game has dragged a bit. My openers bowlers were fairly ordinary. Brayley has been tops though. Has 6 wickets so far and they're 9 down. His first 5fer in league cricket, and the teams first 5fer. :) A day of milestones vs the bots

Edit: Brayley ends up with 7-32 and we win by 191 runs :)

At the innings break, Boggles have compiled 321/5 on a flat pitch against a pretty decent side which I'm happy about. All of their bowlers have wages and BT ratings of over 3k and 15k respectively so they're alright.

Just got to hope that I manage to grab a couple of wickets and get stuck into their top order and start a calypso.

Ouch. Get him on the return leg. ;)

My game is still in the balance, got a wicket but he bats quite a long way down the order so could do with a couple more:

End of Over 16: 87-1, runrate=5.44, reqrunrate=6.91 (321-5)
Bardle 3-0-17-0
Newton* 26 (35 balls)
Turnball 41 (39 balls)
Last Wicket: Islam b. Sekani 15 (FOW: 35/1)

Haha whoa. Infinious (current Aus manager, and in my Div 4 league) just scraped through with a win after being bundled out for 162 against probably the 2nd weakest team in the league. Luckily for him, Stanton chipped in with the handy figures of 9.2/4/13/8.

Ended up losing my cup match by 7 wickets with just over 5 overs remaining.

Victoria Panthers 210 ao (lost 8/6 :@ )
Tahir 84 (121)
Darryl 94 (133)

Tigers06 3/211(44.1 overs)

Hogg 1/36 (7)
Hook 1/32 (10)
Wilkshire 0/41 ( 7.1)
Herbert 0/47 (10)
Ricketts 0/50 (10)

Happy with Herbert he made 4* as everyone crumbled around him and got through 10 overs for 47 from 10 overs while on moderate fitness. By the next time i play that team he'll be on sublime fitness and a Quality/Mediocre bat and a Superb/ Proficient bowl.

Not sure about what's going to happen from here on:

End of Over 31: 164-2, runrate=5.29, reqrunrate=8.32 (321-5)
Craddock 6-0-24-0
Abdul kadir* 34 (35 balls)
Turnball 78 (78 balls)
Last Wicket: Newton b. Bardle 29 (FOW: 96/2)

Nice partnership for him this one, but RRR is getting greater. Still need more wickets...two of my dangerous bowlers on now so hopefully do some damage.

My remarkable/comp bowler goes for 60 off his 10, d'oh.

EDIT:

Code:
45.5 4	Liyanage to Abdul kadir
It's all the way to the boundary as Sekani makes a desperate dive at the ball, but misses.
45.4 4	Liyanage to Abdul kadir
Well, that's just a slog across the line by Abdul kadir, but he has got the result he was after.
45.3 4	Liyanage to Abdul kadir
One, two, three bounces and the ball slams into the boundary boards for four runs.
45.2 6	Liyanage to Abdul kadir
Hop, skip and a heave. Straight back over the bowler's head for six!
45.1 1	Liyanage to Ali
On the toes and pushed out to the on side.
Bang goes this game....

They scored 120 off the last 10 overs of their innings and win by 6 wickets. Easy win for them, sickening for me. :(
