Australia are the masters at rotating the strike keeping the score ticking over all the time and just waiting to pounce when there is a loose delivery. If New Zealand were to look for gaps instead of trying to hit boundaries it would result in good bases for good totals and less risk in getting out. Just look to the recent innings of Fleming (i didnt get to watch it but his stats say some things) all he needed to do was find a gap anywhere and run with his shot. There is no point just whacking it and hoping that it would get past the fielders because lets face it the fielding level in international cricket is extremely high.
