England completely gone. Oram obvious lock-in for MOTM. The partnership between Oram and McCullum very decisive, it would seem, and 210 obviously more than enough in the end.

Prince EWS for two consecutive Greiggy's? TBF he might get off as he did say England would coast easily to a 180 chase, and NZ did get around 30 more. :p
It'd be three consecutive Greiggy's actually - I siad Symonds wouldn't last long the day he racked up 150+, then bagged Amla before he scored 70 odd.

I hope I wouldn't be considered for the Greiggy this week though - I'd be a bit rough as a 180 chase is quite different to a 210 chase...

I really don't think so, to be honest. England's batting problems in ODIs have either been the inability to score at a decent rate, or the loss of wickets in persuit of fixing the first problem. A total of 180 odd would be chased down with ease IMO - the likes of Collingwood and Bell suddenly become a million times more useful in such a chase.
Or this one? :p

England what next for them?

what will the poms do now there players are in a real mess mentally and physically!, tresco is unfit(mentally), kp has a broken rib (due to his own ****y nature), s.jones(one sore ankle he has got),g.jones(better bat than nixon&read),m.vaughan(he has a w handle with care body),giles(what a punishment for dropping punter),collingwood(making 200 has took its toll on him),harmison(a ferrari with no steering ),strauss(maybe missing tresco)

The second one. :p

I still think the pitch was a good one... just very good bowling from both sides, average batting from NZ and disgraceful batting from England.

Gee that's more like it boys. Well played. Hopefully that's the corner turned. What a difference Oram has made and the demotion of McCullum has paid off in spades. Crucial bonus point too

Well done, Black Caps - our bowling is looking ever-tighter. Now if only we could sort our top order out. Although we're not alone in that in this comp...

Dad's army is fitter than there young pommies

Lot of ppl made fun of ozi players due to their age and doubted their ability to stay fit(in a long series like ashes) but i think the poms are in need for far better fitness coz their blokes never seem to get match-fit(and are always on the injury list) and they certainly don't have any bench strength do they , for them they just expect freddie and kp to run the show but it just does'nt work that way.

I don't know which batting team is worse, England or New Zealand, but whatever, their batting efforts have been nothing but pathetic in this series. Their bowling attacks are definitely up to par, but if Eng and NZ are to be any sort of chance in the world cup, their batting performances would have to dramatically improve. Then again though, Australia's batting hasn't been the best in the last 2 games, but as I said before, the Bowling attacks of Eng and NZ have been fair at least.

I think the problem with their batting is the fact they simply aren't aggressive enough and play in their shell far too much. Its better to go down swinging and maybe get 220 in 40 something overs than to be bottled out for 100-150 in the 30 something over.

I disagree. I tihnk they`re trying to force the pace too much, hence with McCullum opening, and losing early wickets which makes for a slow run-rate. Need more patience IMO.

England will be really disappointed by that batting display. That was dreadful.
