Does Nathan Astle even justify a spot in the New Zealand ODI team or am I the only one who thinks he is being picked on past performances ala Craig McMillan (TBF he play a fine innings in Sydney)?

He'll be right. Just having a rough trot

England in terrible trouble now, with Flintoff gone caught behind to Vettori - NZ now strong favorites at this stage with much resting on Ed Joyce.

Just the ball before was some choice commentary from Slats (about Flintoff): "The thing is, if you get to the 50th over and he's still there, England will have won in 45."

This is over, very well done to NZ, to not only work their way back into the game but to get themselves into the position they're at now.

I wouldn't say it's over just yet, Dalrymple is due in at 8 so there's a small chance still.

Don't think you can quite say it's over yet. We were in a very similar position and Joyce is in. If he can bat through and get support it's still possible, but NZ definitely favourites from here

That was a bit doubtful. Another one the 3rd umpire could have looked at and given benefit of the doubt to. What a catch that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's as close to all over as you get before the fat lady tunes up. Intelligent bowling from NZ, but England's batting as abysmal as ever. Quite painful to behold, and you wonder how they they do this so consistently.

EDIT
Even the kiwis might reckon it's all over now. Enjoy your evening lads.

Vettori has 4!!

I wonder if we'll have James in here with his standard "Vettori is overrated" whinge tonight. :D

England completely gone. Oram obvious lock-in for MOTM. The partnership between Oram and McCullum very decisive, it would seem, and 210 obviously more than enough in the end.

Prince EWS for two consecutive Greiggy's? TBF he might get off as he did say England would coast easily to a 180 chase, and NZ did get around 30 more. :p
