Samoa Joe vs Angle happened yesterday. Yet to see the match, but some have said it was awesome, and others have said it didn't live up to expectations.

WWE.com has learned that former WWE Superstar Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow has passed away in Florida.

Kevin Doll, the Public Information Director for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Bigelow was found dead early this morning in his home in Hudson, Fla.

"We can confirm that Scott Bigelow was found in his home this morning. At this time the cause of death is unknown," Doll told WWE.com.

Doll also confirmed that the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner has taken the body and an autopsy will be performed.

Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.

Stay tuned to WWE.com as more on Bigelow's passing becomes available.

RIP Bam Bam.

Oh no. Sad.

Was just watching the documentary bio on Bret Hart from the the Bret Hart DVD a couple of weeks back and Bret described Bam Bam as one of the most agile and flexible big men in the industry and some thing on the lines that he was very under rated. I agree on it. I used to love Bam Bam - not some thing I can say about most of the big guys in the industry over the years. One of the wrestlers from that era when I grew up.

Will miss Bam Bam.

Oh man :(

Many childhood memories of Bam Bam, in partcular Bret Hart vs. Bam Bam final of the first KOTR in 93.

Haven't watched wrestling in well over 12 months now, I miss it but just don't feel it anymore when I tune it.
I know what you mean.

I heard about the Smackdown! Sprint and I thought I'd give it a go, it was great.

I gave Raw a go, Trump/Rosie, yuck.

Just heard about Bam Bam, terrible shame. The Beast from the East was my favourite big guy alongside Big Van Vader (wondrous sight when he use to pull of the moonsault). Heard about his problems since 2000 but 45, ****.

Haven’t watched WWF in ages but did they pay tribute to him on RAW, ECW or Smackdown?

They gave him what they do for most superstars not with the company at the time.

The last real mentions I can remember are the tribute shows for Eddie and Owen Hart.

Not a big wrestling man really, only really enjoy it when the Undertaker's fighting - which means I enjoyed immensely watching last week's Royal Rumble victory this afternoon. :)

Cant wait for the Undertaker to beat the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania unless it is Kane

if batista beats taker, it will be a farce and shows that the WWE management has totally lost touch with the fans, HBK vs Cena at mania will be crap unless HBK wins which is unlikely, the money in the bank ladder match which is meant to feature Sabu, CM Punk, Mr Kennedy, Carlito, MVP and one other who i cant remember will probably be the only match worth seeing, looks like it will be better than last years mania, but thats not saying much, can just sit back...put in a tape of wrestlemania 17...and think happy thoughts....

Another one down. :(

WWE is saddened by news of the passing of Mike Alfonso, better known to wrestling fans as Mike Awesome. He was 42.

Mike Awesome's first major exposure came overseas, where he became one of the Japan's top stars. Awesome would eventually become a star and champion in America while wrestling for Extreme Championship Wrestling. Following his successful run in ECW, Awesome spent time working in WCW and later WWE before retiring to his native Tampa, Florida.

While in ECW, Awesome was a two-time World Champion and Tag Team Champion. His matches with Masato Tanaka, including a show-stealer at One Night Stand in 2005 were among the most memorable in ECW history.

Awesome delivered an incredible performance at ECW's One Night Stand in 2005.
