BARNES OUT
Code:
35.5 4	Beevers to Munroe
Worked it around to a vacant backward square leg boundary, well placed.
36.2 4	Wainwright to Munroe
A solid drive screams away wide of long on. Pure timing.
36.1 4	Wainwright to Munroe
That drive was one for the purists, great technique.
36.5 6	Wainwright to Jephcott
Straight shot, picked up to long on, lands on the right side of the rope for a six.
They're starting to open up. Hopefully they can stay there until the end.

Munroe ended up getting 108, Jephcott in the 80's. Need a big opening spell from Hodge to rid me of Elvins, Wainwright and Nash if I'm to have a chance.

Anyway, I've had a team for quite a while now but never took it very seriously. Had a gun team last season but got whupped this time around. Might need some help bettering my team, so I'll be back with details :)

Thought it was worth noting that i managed to keep Hook to just the 1 wicket  whilst attaining my best all-round ratings yet. Once again though, my team managed to defy the ratings and get a win :)

Nice to knock out a nation with more than ten times as many users. Also nice that the only defence the England manager can offer is that it was a GFI v PAN; gee, it must be tough only having 3,200 teams to pick players from. Kinda funny that Whitehorne made a golden duck too, surprised no one has made match-fixing allegations.

Anyway, Australia obviously have a big fitness and morale advantage over us, but given that we managed to beat them a few days ago with a weakened side on a TIE with vastly inferior ratings I don't think the final will be a foregone conclusion. If Australia do win it will be a tainted victory though, so we'll either be the moral victors or the actual victors. ;)

Oh btw Rob, I completely forgot about our friendly, hence the worthless guy opening the bowling (and Whitehorne playing, not that it matters now that England aren't in the final). Can't believe Malik scored 56* off 34, he'd usually take 134 balls to make that many.

Prest, the pick of the bowlers on a flat track at the Zebras CG (Jungle Jumbo), including 2-3 in the last over . It'll come down to Dobinson, Nutter, Muller, and Brannif.

Just Noticed Australia's Cup Fixtures are up hpefully England's come in the daily updates.

All I can say to Nath is unlucky mate.

Jimbo won the toss and elected to bat.

Allen comprehensively bettering Canning in the battle of the all-rounders, but a win's a win. Turning point of the game for me was definitely Canning getting Mccammon for 2, while Tedstone accounted for the rest of the top order. His spinner Padayachie bowled great, with 0/14 off his ten, while each of my bowlers took two wickets. Both teams suffered collapses though; I lost 6/4, while Hing lost 4/1. Thanks for the game though Rob, good to get one up on you after you beat me the last few times :p
