I am thinking Billy Midwinter, but that is too easy, knowing you BB

So I will go for Cecil Parkin
Yep, he's the fella. Debuted for Yorkshire, but was found to have been born in County Durham back in the days when Yorks were strictly native-born Tykes only so went over to the red rose of Lancs.

Your go. :)

TBF their have been many that have played that were not born in the County even before Vaughan and Tendulkar came on the scene
That is true, but his Lordship was very fond of inforcing the residential law, which is a bit like calling the kettle black (is this expression still PC? )

Who am I?

I lived into my 90s and I hold a Test record that may never be beaten (I have not looked it up, but I imagine he still holds the record) well I am 99% sure he has this record:ph34r:

Does it involve playing more than 1 sport ? Only if yes to this then consider next Question /otherwise ignore it .

Does it involve playing and officiating the game ?

Don Bradman & the record is your average :p

seriously though....

Is the record you speak of a batting performance by yours truly?

LongHopCassidy

International Captain
RE Foster with the highest score on debut, 287*?

Presumably disappointed by being caught 13 short of the first triple?

EDIT: Researched and discovered that he died at the age of 36. My bad.
