Would have loved to see Matthew Hayden coaching a cricket team. Can barely string two words together on comms.

RCB don't really have a realistic chance of qualification. Its only on paper, they'd need a miracle with other results all going their way.

It’s more of which team got their combination sorted out early in the tournament. Lots of one-sided games.

Impact sub is becoming a joke: Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey…

While some of the teams on top uses it to perfection: Buttler, Prabhsimran, Pathirana<->Dube.

It kills the vibe sometimes

He is still not over being called out for the dumbass comments he made on Anushka. Salty old man.
The only one salty is fraud Kohli and his supporters . He needs to play for the Team .
And if he isn’t capable of playing too fast , he shouldn’t come in power play overs . He should bat at 3 or 4.

You can spout whatever hatred you want, like Sunny. Reality is he is the best T20I batsman ever and is still among the best in the world.

Don’t mix T20I with IPL . His approach is acceptable for international matches because bowling standards are high . Not in IPL where 230 has become par score .

Idk about this specific situation but putting aside whether pundits and commentators were right or wrong in their criticism of Kohli, the broader point that many players are hilariously touchy about any sort of criticism that comes their way is valid. It’s part of a commentator’s job (imo at least) to criticise where they feel appropriate, no need to get all childish in response when it comes your way.

It’s not like commentators will have carte blanche to say whatever they like if the players don’t do something about it. If they say something dumb like Manjrekar did about Jadeja the fans will let them have it anyways.

There’s many examples of this, most recently it was Iyer and his short ball weakness denial.

Do I remember Gill also having a pop at criticism as well recently? Seems to be a common pattern in this newer generation of Indian players in particular.

I think it is definitely a thing with the new gen players but its also coz they are brought up on social media and so maybe they end up seeing so much of the dumb criticisms they encounter. Its a chicken and egg situation.

There are valid points and crticisms about players but then there is also idiocy like the Match ka Mujhrim which is basically played out over every social media every time there is a game right for India or the IPL.
