Should probably just put a cross through Stone but could add Fisher who's taken 11/324 by my reckoning

Any news on Anderson's injury?

I can't see him being risked against Ireland.

@willis_macp

England have issued a Jimmy Anderson update. They say he’s sustained a “mild strain” to his right groin and will be assessed closer to the time of Ireland Test on June 1. Not ruled out of anything just yet.

Guardian
A squad for the Ireland Test will be announced this week, and Anderson is expected to be in it while his fitness is monitored.

Carse out for 8 weeks.

If the selectors were looking to put him in the Ireland game it's not gonna happen now.

:shock:

What a shame for him. Put all the injured bowlers in a hyperbaric chamber. It's still 5 weeks to go to the Ashes.

He'll find it a lot easier against the Ireland bowlers. Get a big score and then get a run of low scores in the Ashes.
Well no Tim Murtagh to run through us like last time.

Chance for Crawley to get a higher score than Jack Leach opening in England.

Not sure this is an Ashes only thread, more an ongoing commentary on the fortunes of England's players/potential players when not playing for England.

Not sure thread was required at all really as one thread discussing England players is more than enough for most of us ?
