Yep. Not to mention Pope/Moeen > Smith.Crawley > Khawaja?
It wasn’t intended to be a slight, I was mainly referring to the ethos of the Australian players. If they were English and doing the rounds in the County circuit then most of them would never be considered candidates to play for England with the brand they are looking for.Yep. Not to mention Pope/Moeen > Smith.
It's obviously a troll thread - should I leave it open or wait to see if someone actually baits with an effortpost?
Oh right it's another Spazball thread. It wasn’t intended to be a slight, I was mainly referring to the ethos of the Australian players. It very well might be counterproductive in the end but the England set up are looking for people who are willing to take the fight to the opposition no matter what. Head and Lyon have the strength of character to make it into the England team. While people like Khawaja and Smith are perfectively fine with plodding their way to a century, that is something more that Australian management values.Oh right it's another Spazball thread.
Well yeah, never picking Smith because he doesn't score quickly enough is something Stokes and McCullum might genuinely do, but it also demonstrates why it's been taken to a point of absurdity and probably bound to be counter-productive at the extreme fringe it's gravitated towards.
oh, I get it, you're saying the aussies are too fat! sleight exaggerationIt wasn’t intended to be a slight,
Root has a SR 3 higher than Smith, so I am going to wager they'd probably pick one of the best players ever.Oh right it's another Spazball thread.
