How do you assess your teams performance so far this season?

The side has really come of age the last 5 or so weeks, ever since we got out of the game of Colts with a huge win, the side has taken confidence. So that's been impressive. As a whole season, I feel we should be doing better, only the rookies, Llewellyn, Rickman and Nelson have been performing, it's up to the older guys to finish strong.

Who do you think has underacieved in you side the most this season?

We like setting expectations high at Province and really a lot of players have fell short of their expectations. Probably the guy who has most has been Brett Lee. This is reflected in stats and our bowling points in 4 day, in that we only have 7, which is second last only to Auckland. Sure our pitch is a batsman track, but from a serious campaigner like Brett we were looking for a bit better. He has shown flashes of his class but not often enough.

Which other WCC sides do you most enjoy beating?

Without doubt Colts. I have a huge psychological advantage over their side now with the win in the first meeting this season, and bowling them out for 40 was orgasmic.

If you could make 1 change to WCC what would it be?

Definately the attitude of the manager's to match reports. Whatever happened to the days when people didn't write them, it's fun and it makes you get involved in your team.

Who do you think is the best player and best team in WCC?

Without doubt the best player would have to be Darden. Sure his year this year has been rather lean, but his performances last year was amazing. His career average of 66 is just amazing, following him is O Clarke, the best all rounder in the game. Best team, probably has to be South Australia. It's shown up by their posiition on the table and their over all strength, sides like mumbai are too batting heavy.

Which side in your divisions has gone better that you thought this season?

Somerset. They upset me early on in the year and are still pushing for maybe promotion, their side after losing their manager late last year has really done well.

Do you think your team could have done better this season?

Without doubt. Things could've been worse thuogh, we've turned it around late, and dwelling on our slow start, will just make the rest of the season slow. It could've been better but the side was new together, and they took time to gel.

What are your long term hopes for Western Province?

Long term, to win WCC. The focus is now on a youthful side who hopefully in about 6 seasons will be ready to be amongst the best. The transition between pensioners and youth is underway at the moment, and due for completion in 2 seasons.

You were very active in the transfer market last season, will that be the same again this time around?

Not really, last year my problem was geting the side to gel with all the new faces. This season they will have all settled down so the smaller the changes to better. However of course if a good offer comes along, I won't be afraid to take it. Already talks are underway with some clubs.

Which other WCC sides would you like to manage given the chance?

Probably SA and Kent. Both sides are really looking strong for the future.

What would be the first thing you would buy if you were a millionaire?

A pizza shop.

If you went on Big Brother, How long do you think you would last?

Probably till about the 3rd last guy. I'm pretty quiet wouldn't annoy nyone.

What are your hobbies outside of sport?

Computer's, WCC, and TV and eating to

What is your dream job?

Professional GOLFER. argh that'd be awesome

What is your favourite all time sporting moment?

Geez this is a tough one, I'm a sports freak and love all sports, but I'd have to say for actual adrenalin rush Steve Waugh's hundred against England in Sydney this year. Being there was amazing, truly a great moment.
