I agree Bangladesh are on the way up (slowly) and Zimbabwe are on the fast track to oblivion. Lets not forget the Bangas did beat Australia not that long ago. With quite a few A team tours to gain experiance the next generation of Bangladesh cricketers will conduct themselves more creditably.Scweej said:I doubt that Zimbabwean Cricket made this decision purely on their own, Malcolm Speed and Ehsan Mani apparently met with them a week ago ..

I agree, this is a good decision for Zimbabwean Cricket, saves further embarassment and prolonging the ICC from making any decision on their Test status.
Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are completely different ... The problems of Zimbabwe lie in the nation's instability and politiking . . .Bangladesh possibly suffer from insufficient resources and this seems to be getting addressed. The Bangladesh youth sides are making significant impressions . ..
In hindsight ppl say that the ICC were rash in giving Bangladesh test status, so i can't see anyother nation being admitted to the Test Arena in the near future .. .
Namibia, Holland and Canada don't host and tour the rest of the world on a regular basis.Prince EWS said:I think the Zimbabwean ODI side would still perform better than the likes of Namibia, Holland, Canada and USA, so its a silly thing to whinge about, really.
Neither do Kenya.. Remember them?Neil Pickup said:Namibia, Holland and Canada don't host and tour the rest of the world on a regular basis.

Kenya appeared to have been totally forgotten when arguing about who could replace Zimbabwe.. Not that they should play test cricket at the moment either..Neil Pickup said:Point?
They still play ODIs though - ODIs much more farcical than those that will be played by Zimbabwe.Neil Pickup said:Namibia, Holland and Canada don't host and tour the rest of the world on a regular basis.
A lot of that must be due to the authorities who administer cricket in Kenya. .. After the 2003 World Cup there should have been enough momentum to develop a decent domestic first class competition and one day tournemants . I think the ICC were keen on Kenya being a future Test nation. Its quite disappointing . . .Langeveldt said:Kenya appeared to have been totally forgotten when arguing about who could replace Zimbabwe.. But far fewer of them. Hence the use of the word "legion" in my original post...Prince EWS said:They still play ODIs though - ODIs much more farcical than those that will be played by Zimbabwe.
