On what i've seen i'd be far more tempted to go with Siddle over Johnson. Johnson is matchwinner or all over the park. At least Siddle can bowl a line that isn't dangerous for the keepers back when he is off form.

Highlight of the tour so far:

"Really disappointed I can't watch Harry Potter. No way i'm spending 2 hours in the dark in Harare! I'll have to wait 2 weeks. :-("

Elton making up for the 16 ball duck in the first innings by tearing the Aus spinners a new one. Hamilton, the top performer as always.

Will never understand why people want to see certain players fail so they can justify their dislike for them. Seems counter-intuitive to me.

but tbf this is just a tour match. if paine and krejza were to actually rep. aus in a serious match i wouldn't wish/cheer failure on them such as krejza in the WC

Makes sense to hope Krejza stuffs up in the A side.

Otherwise we'll have to put up with him being useless in the Sri Lankan series. That lot can actually play spin and on top of this, practically anyone can play well against an endless diet of half-trackers.

The World Cup matches were in Sri Lanka and India after all.

In this case I think it's more not rating someone and hence not wishing to give the selectors any dodgy ideas. Otherwise, yeah.

So Hilfy for the new ball against Sri Lanka?
Sure he only took one wicket, but bowling is a lot more than just taking wickets. You've gotta apply pressure, you've gotta be consistent and you've gotta be enthusiastic each ball, running in as fast as you can. Just because you took one wicket out of 20 doesn't mean you yourself were terrible. Indeed the fact that 19 other wickets got taken is a credit to Hilf. From what I've been told Hilf focused very much on his lines and lengths and was consistent and ran in hard all day. It's highly likely were it not for Hilf we wouldn't've taken those 19 other wickets. Indeed he was probably our best bowler this match

- Tim Nielsen

And Hilf's only wicket was a left hander. what a shock.

oh i thought there was another day. perhaps i shouldn't've been cheering as Krejza approached the magic 5.00 figure
