One team can't bat, the other can't bowl. You decide. (No batsmen who can bowl even a wee bit, and no bowlers who can bat-yes bat, not wog)
Cairns and smith would rip thru the 2nd XI lineup, apart from maybe a flurry from Akhtar and stern defence from Gillepspie:P

A match between the greatest bowlers and greatest batsmen would be a no match......the batsmen will win everytime
thats coz bradman can hit a century against mcgrath , but mcgrath cant do it against bradman

I think you arebeing very harsh on Chris Cairns!!

And I presume Lou Vincent is a joke

Ponting and Smith arent the worst either, nor is Lee.

Cairns-a play on his current form, no doubt in excellent form he could be in the 11 for either team.
Vincent-correct.:)
Ponting and Smith-there because they are great batsmen but are bowlers you would never call on seriously, right?
Lee-I don't know if he has any fifties but I've never seen anything but wog so he's a good enough bowler who wogs and doesn't bat.

Lee has 2 test fifties & an average of about 20.
A great striker in ODI's , once hit Allan Donald for 26 in an over at Perth , ahh good times

Ged's XI:
1. M.E.K Hussey
2. J.L Langer
3. R.T Ponting
4. M.J Clarke*
5. M.J North
6. A.C Gilchrist+
7. S.R Watson
8. S.M Ervine
9. B. Casson
10. B. Lee
11. M. Sami

As you can see, only 2 internationals there, 5 players who are yet to play a test and 5 Western Australians. That's just a list of players I like.

ROW XI
1. M.P Vaughan
2. M.L Hayden
3. G.C Smith*
4. B.C Lara
5. S.R Tendulkar
6. V.V.S Laxman
7. T. Taibu+
8. S.E Bond
9. S. Akhtar
10. M. Muralidaran
11. G.D McGrath

Originally I had Smith/Hayden opening, but I decided Vaughan is too good to leave out. Hayden and Vaughan pretty much have to open, and Smith can play number 3 so that pushed the remaining 3 batsmen down the order, although they are arguably the best. The batting looks like an absolute wall to me. The bowling looks strong but with 2 express pacemen in Akhtar and Bond, I'm not sure how long I'd be able to bowl both of them, and that means a lot more goes to McGrath and Murali. The only player who comes close to being of a standard to fill in some overs is Vaughan. I chose Smith for captain because personally I believe he is very good. The team contains 4 current/former test captains.

I'd like to think that my side would win, and I would barrack for them until the end, but I know they'd get absolutely floored.
