Get them in. Get your **** calls in. On CW we are noted experts and always right. Front up.

Our team will be on their gold cards by 2026 so it's gonna look extra fresh 2027.

Tom Latham (c) (Gold Card)
Rachin Ravindra
Thorn Parkes (I haven't even seen him play but some bro said he's good so it must be true get him in there).
Glenn Phillips
Finn Allen
Nathan Smith
Max Chu (wk)
Kyle Jamieson
Adi Ashok
Ben Sears
Matthew Fisher

The under 19 brainiac posters have thrown the odd name around but I forgot them. If you know of any children who are good at batting (South African citizenship a bonus) then send them our way thanks. Our established and good domestic batsmen are almost exclusively 27 years old or higher.

Probably on the conservative side, but ehhhh.

I have my doubts on Carey but he won't be that old by 2027. Maybe Inglis in for him? Probably also another quick will come onto the scene.

No love for Teague Wyllie? He was the most impressive at the U19 WC and has started his FC career impressively, if not quite as impressively as Kellaway was.

Must say I am not 100% sure either Carey or especially Cummins will still be playing international cricket by then, Jhye's injury record worries me too.

On batting will be keeping an eye on Street, Chandrasinghe, Wyllie and Kellaway as future possibilities, Bowling wise Sutherland and Bartlett probably look the most likely from the young domestic quicks around, although more from left field Buckingham, McClure, Sully and perhaps even Salzmann as a bowling allrounder also look to have some potential to be something, for wicketkeeping I suspect Inglis will continue to be second in line for the forseeable future.

Deliberately casting a pretty wide net here, couple other names I was considering but they will mostly either be retired or nearing it by 2027

Qeshile has shown nothing recently so will have to be a massive improvement. Fortuin is not near good enough in fc cricket. And I would hope to see van Tonder and Breetzke as two of the most naturally gifted players, playing. And Keegan Petersen has shown something pretty decent.

Mulani is also a SLA right? I would rather have Washy there. And a 3rd seamer instead of Kuldeep, maybe Umran as he seems to be showing good learning in the last few games.

Yeah he could definitely be in consideration. Hunt and Chandrasinghe also chances, and I think Skull bought up a 17 year old that he thinks has the goods.

Our long-term batting depth looks quite interesting.

I thought about Sundar but not sure if his bowling is good enough for tests. Mulani is a very interesting prospect in the lines of Jaddu and Axe. My side is the home team. For away tours, yes, a pacer will come in for Mulani. My bet is on Shivam Mavi. But it will be great if Umran can do it in tests.

Not convinced that up-and-coming quicks Sears or Fisher will cope with test play, think they will only be white ball regulars.

So test 12 with age at 2027:
Tom Latham (c) 34
Rachin Ravindra 27
Kane Williamson 36
Glenn Phillips 30
Troy Johnson 29
Nathan Smith 28
Max Chu (wk) 27
Kyle Jamieson 32
Kristian Clarke 26 / Adi Ashok 24
Jacob Duffy 32
Will O'Rourke 25

wider squad
Jacob Cumming 23
Will Young 34
Hayden Shipley 30
Ray Toole 29
Tim Pringle 24
