Rahul, really? You realize its his son and not the Wall?
I reckon he'll make runs in the first test and then stay in the side. It's a left field pick, I grant you.

With Gill and Sharma missing the first test, I was thinking only really Kohli and Pant are proven players here who are likely to play all five, and while I hope Kohli has a good series I'm not betting on him, sadly, given his recent form. Pant is always dangerous here and awesome to watch, but his style of play is also high risk-reward, otherwise I'd have gone with him. Rahul is a contrary bugger, I can see him digging in for whatever reason and making runs here. More a gut call than anythign especially scientific about it.

What's your reasoning here? I don't know much about McSweeney's fielding.
Neither do I. I just wanted to include him. Read he's been practising between third and gully - you're usually in the frame in that spot in Perth and Brisbane especially.

I feel like it's one of the more low key recent dayboos we've had. I hope he does well.

Good enough reasoning for me. I went Smith because he's an established slip fielder and I'd expect most catches to go to the cordon. India I expect to bowl fuller and straighter so I'd expect fewer catches in the cordon and more on the leg side, as well as more bowled and LBW.

Must say I wonder if I should go Jaiswal as India's leading runscorer.

There should also be a question asking when India will have their first dummy spit and threaten to go home. It will happen, of course, but will it be early on, or will they wait til Rohit is back before bunging it on?

TBF India used the Aus A warm ups to get some good hyperventilating practice in. I can only presume they'll continue and improve as they adapt to local conditions.
