2004? 2nd test?Beleg said:Inzy + MoYo (2004 against India)
Ah okay thought you may have meant their partnership in the 1st test of 2005 or the 2nd test of 2004 which whilst it was their typical 100+ run partnerships it wasn't anything special between them. Their partnership in that Karachi one-dayer though was definitely special.Beleg said:Oops, actually I meant the first ODI at Karachi, chasing 340+. Sorry for not being clear enough.
Exactly, everything was just so right..the quality of the Saffie attack (Klusener was at his peak too), the hopeless situation India were in, the unexpectedness of the manner in which they set out to dismantle the bowling attack...words arent enough. If match situations are not a consideration, that partnership easily ranks above both the Laxman-Dravid ones personally. Tendulkar + Azza = bellissima!Pratyush said:I was about to right the same!
My favourite one as well. Brutal, yet classic.
I loved Blewy too, his front foot pulls were spectacular. My favourite Blewett partnership was his massive one with Steve Waugh in SA. He looked a million bucks then.vic_orthdox said:, I used to love it when Slater and Blewett opened together - my two favourite players at the time.
Mine too. Top blokes.vic_orthdox said:Seriously, not that they probably ever put on any massive stands, I used to love it when Slater and Blewett opened together - my two favourite players at the time.
