You can modify the poll stillHarry Brook could be added to make it the next Fab 4 maybe
Yea he’s going to struggle to reach 100 testsActually tho Jaiswal and Brook will likely get big longevity points on Mendis. He’s getting started pretty late and SL doesn’t play as many tests.
DoneYou can modify the poll still
He is Chanderpaul than Lara anyway. He is a very sedate batsman. He has worked him self at batting in limited overs, and that is the reason to see him score quickly. But at core, he is a sedate, boring, plonker, who can occupy the crease for ages.My gut feeling is Mendis will be more Chanderpaul than Lara.
Nothing wrong with that as it will still be a great test career and SL needs a solid batsman. The test will be to see when Angelo pulls the plug and see if Kamindu can bat 4 and be the fulcrum of the line-up. If he shows Chanders' level batting ability and output but not his thought process, it should be fine and SL will be well served for the next 10 years at least.
Career SR of 60 in FC over 50 matches, but more Chanders than Lara? I don’t buy that.He is Chanderpaul than Lara anyway. He is a very sedate batsman. That is a very recent advancement. Believe me, we know the players from their school days. This guy could bat for your life. So is Pathum Nissanka. Both had to develop them selves in to white ball cricketers to survive and to be selected in T20 franchises.Career SR of 60 in FC over 50 matches, but more Chanders than Lara? I don’t buy that.
