AWTA. Mubarak is the very definition of dire.If Muburak isn't No 1, the world has gone mad. Worst batsmen ever, McGarth was better.
Maybe yeah but at least the Sri Lanka selectors don't KEEP ON PICKING HIM.Morton has done more in ODI's than Mubarak has TBH. At least he averages over 30 and has 2 centuries. Mubarak just plain fails at international level if you look at his stats, and his first class stats aren't too flash either.
Seriously, who was it that determined that "ordinary" should mean "bad"? "Mediocre" and "average" too, for that matter. Runako M****n and Mubarak are not "ordinary". An ordinary batsman is someone like Michael Vaughan or Ross Taylor. Runako and Mubarak are in a whole other league, " ****ing **** " batsmen. They're really, really ****ing bad. Not ordinary or mediocre or average or any of those things. Atrocious. Crap. Useless. They look like old housewives waving their broomsticks at passing flies.Despite Morton being a very ordinary batsman
Paha, it's hardly a protest. He's just one of those players that's so bad i prefer not to type their name. Sajid M*****d was another. What's with the *** in Morton's name? Some kind of protest at his selection?
Bizarre argument about Inzi's inclusion above as well - no one was suggesting he's a poor batsman overall, merely that he was poor near the end, which is not unusual... Dravid is in the same boat.
Fair 'nuff, was just trying to work out in what context/language "orto" was offensive, and whom I could next use it on.Paha, it's hardly a protest. He's just one of those players that's so bad i prefer not to type their name. Sajid M*****d was another.
Regarding Herschelle Gibbs, this was almost exactly a year ago. Hard to believe. And yes, Inzamam was terrible for his last few games, but isn't playing any more; yes, Dravid has been hugely disappointing since the Caribbean tour in '06; Gibbs, well, has had a cross between being worked-out and declining and is almost certainly now gone for good; Vandort, well, he's a good batsman going through a rough patch of late but I imagine we mostly think he'll be back; and Dinesh Karthik, well, he's lost his way badly but again I hope he'll be back at some point.
Mubarak is the second. 1st spot is occupied by Upul TharangaIf Muburak isn't No 1, the world has gone mad. Worst batsmen ever, McGarth was better.
Don't think that does justice to either of those players. An ordinary batsman is someone like Michael Vaughan or Ross Taylor.
The average average for a top six batsman (non-Bangladesh/Zimbabwe) since 2000 is 41.7. So whatever you think of their quality (Taylor has the potential to become better for sure), mediocre, average and ordinary are perfect words to describe their records. They just have negative connotations that makes the description seem harsher than it really is.Don't think that does justice to either of those players.
