the SCG? Hmm.
Of course SCG is one test in AUS along with Adelaide where playing a spinner is always preferable. But s i said in that post McNamara it was definately an option given that Johnson was he only good bowler in the series up until the first 2 test. Along with how inbalanced the bowling attack looked in Perth & MCG with 3 quicks & Krejza/Haurtiz (who hardly troubled the saffies).

So debuting North & Hilfenhaus one test earlier in SCG would have been a better option ATT.
