Now I have to ask with regards to international play, if someone did this at that level would it be fine per the laws? Or do you still have to specify the type of bowling as well?
It’s only whether you’re going over or round that you have to confirm, I believe. I think the scenario PEWS mentioned is one of the more common errors out there.

Yeah, I mean where better to get an example of rubbish deliveries getting wickets than lower league cricket?

I love village cricket and the atrociously funny nature of it. European Cricket cracks me up. My two favourite Youtube videos of all time are the fella getting hit in the head with a sweeping drive in blind cricket, rubbing it then conceding overthrows a few secs later, and the one where the guy gets run out then throws his bat clean into his mate's throat.
