there shall be 4 groups.
trinidad and tobago has submitted a bid that we would acquire any games not awarded to any other island. We however are going with the opening ceremony and the WI group. in addition to that we may get any others that cannot be hosted by the other islands. hopefully we may also get the final.

Highly unlikely IMO. I'd say Barbados will almost certainly get the final.Revelation said:

by the way, i think St. Lucia is the only other ground besides the QPO in T&T that can host the final.

That stadium which will cost 26 million US will be financed by the Indian government---in essence it will be a gift from India to the people of Guyana.

Anywhere – as long, as, if it is the world cup, it is an ODI. I don’t think they’ll like Tests somehow. 20Twenty to be introduced there?

USA should get a game if USA gets to qualify for the world cup 2007. with USA qualifying for the world cup 2007 and setting a USA match in USA would be great.
however, i do not think that USA could become a cricketing force as most of the USA cricketers are from india, pakistan and west indies. they do not have a single pure american in their team.
worst of all, USA could qualify for the icc champions trophy 2004 due to a retired west indies player, clayton lambert playing for USA.

USA will find a hard time to qualify. I agree that the USA can host maybe one or two matches but there are rumors that the ICC wants them to host a semi final or even the final.
