World Club Cricket Season 6 Preview

Slats4ever

International Vice-Captain
Colts

For many years Colts was a middle of the road side in both forms who were looking to slowly make an ascent up into WCC greatness. However it seems that manager, AgeMaster seems to have totally focussed all his materials and resources into building a strong OD unit, and his 4 day side has suffered greatly as a consequence. Age will be the first to admit this as well, and unfortunately they might find themselves down in division 5 next season.

Colts bost arguably the most successful batsman in WCC history in T Darden. His flair and great class has been on show now for 4 seasons but now it's time for his biggest test. Looking through the Colts team it's hard to find any other batsman who could have big years and give the Colts batting line up some stability. Darden firing will definately help the other players around him and may well lead to some upsets this year. Kyle Andrews and new comer Stinky Butt look to also be men who could possibly help the side to some good results this year as both performed well in trials.

Bowling wise Colts will be relying on their fielding unfortunately. P Jones and Abdul Razzaq will shoulder most of the burden for the side this year as they search for a new star. If either is to fall down with injury then it's going to be a tough slog for the other bowlers. Newly employed bowling captain Chaminda Vaas certainly has his work cut out, and it'll be interesting to see if he can build up some venom into the attack.

Ugly is one way of describing the Colts 4 day team. Age clearly has lost hope in his side and it shows. It almost seems like the side has been hit with a real life tsunami and their stars have been washed away. Only problem for Age is it's not true, he is the tsunami and his 4d stars have deserted him

Key Player - T Darden
Predicted 4d finish - 5th

Sheesh. The team that is predicted to finish 6th cannot have a pretty summary if that's anything to go by.
