Pretty shocking really, there were just vague reports of him being unconscious when I went off to the nets. Cricket isn't worth dying for whether it was a heart attack or suicide.

Such a bizarre chain of events, really sad regardless of the circumstances of death. RIP.

Such a shame he had such a crappy last few days, and that he wasn't with his family. Nice to see ol' Dickie Bird on Sky reminding people of better times, though. Poor guy looked really upset, and a Yorkshireman at that.

Shocking news; it looks pretty odd this death; could some angry pakistani fan have food poisoned him ? We saw how unhappy the pakistani fans were demonstrating in the streets with 'Shame shame' inscriptions.

That, frankly, is something that does not even bear thinking about.

How futile to speculate.

.....

It is a very sad incident indeed :(. However he may have died, let us not forget that he was a good coach (SA let's bar Pak for a moment) and more importantly a very nice human being.

They say, when they go, they go in three. First Manjarul and now Bob :(.....

May his soul rest in peace .

Terribly sad news. Heard it on the radio before. It mentioned the fact that he had diabetes on the report, but didn't say that it was directly responsible.

Rest in peace.

Me too, I'm scared at what he might have done to himself that night..

Nicholas and Cullinan totally shaken up in this commentary stint.. This reminds me of walking downstairs to watch the Basin reserve test in 2002 without knowing what had happened.. Puts everything into perspective, again..
What happened at Basin Reserve?
