Beamer

International Vice-Captain
Who do we think should replace Keemo Paul in the ODI squad? Like for like would probably have to be Jeremiah Louis, Raymon Reifer or Romario Shepard. I would of course go for Rakheem Cornwall but I doubt that will happen.

As far as the test team, this is how I see things for each player:

Kraigg Braithwaite - Going through a slump but should be persisted with. However, should not be vice captain.
John Campbell - Definitely worth another series to have a look. Seems excellent against pace but needs to work on his batting against spin.
Shai Hope - Has to be on notice now. I would keep him on against India but time is running out. He is very vulnerable if somebody scores big runs in domestic cricket.
Darren Bravo - One match winning innings, 4 failures. Definitely keep him around but he needs time at the crease in FC cricket.
Roston Chase - A bit inconsistent but he does already have 5 tons so he is a key member of the side. Spin is useful but no more.
Shimron Hetmeyer - Hell of a talent, needs a long run. Vital innings in the first innings. Looked dodgy against Wood in the 1st innings in St Lucia but shaped up so much better in the second.
Shane Dowrich - Reliable member of the side. One of our better batsmen and his wicket keeping has become excellent. I would consider him for the VC position.
Jason Holder - Number 1 all-rounder in the world and the heart and soul of the side. Great leader. Sowly improving tactically also. We really missed him in St Lucia.
Kemar Roach - Man of the series, our cleverest bowler. His line and length with each way movement was relentless.
Alzarri Joseph - Excellent 4th seamer with some top quality spells at decent pace. Needs to improve consistency though, a few too many bad balls still.
Shannon Gabriel - Consistently one of the worlds fastest bowlers and vital for our attack. He deserved way more wickets in this series but created chances for others.
Keemo Paul - Such an excellent cricketer for a 20 year old. Smart bowling and good lower order hitting, though I think he can bat a lot better. Get well soon.
Oshane Thomas - Didn't get the chance to see him but I understand they have been working on his fitness. Can't wait to see him in the ODI's. Should be kept around the test squad to learn from Shannon.
Jamal Warrican - Decent enough left arm spinner if the conditions suit. Should be kept on the scene unless they swallow their pride and select Cornwall.

Overall I think our bowling is in great shape with plenty of options and a chance to intorduce young bowlers to learn from Roach, Gabriel and Holder. Batting is still a problem. I'd keep the same group for the India series unless someone breaks down the door in FC cricket, but Kraigg and Hope should definitely be on on notice. Perform or perish.

Minor trouble for Jamaica.

They are 8/2 now.
Clinton Pestano with the damage. Picking up both wickets so far.

In the other game, Leewards vs TT.

Leewards are 277/5. A few batsmen with half centuries: Devon Thomas 67(103); Jahmar Hamilton 68(123); Terrance Ward 64*(160); Keacy Carty made 44. Rakheem Cornwall is at the crease on 21(43)

Well, well this will be fun...

"After six years as president, Dave Cameron's intention to implement sweeping changes to the democratic process of decision-making within West Indies cricket is troubling," Skerritt said in a statement. "His desire to lead CWI as a full-time executive, is not reflective of the West Indies cricket ethos.

"By advancing his plans for an autocratic leadership structure, which marginalises the role of commercially recruited executives, the incumbent has placed his personal thinking diametrically opposed to the values of West Indies cricket."

Solid lineup! I would have Cornwall in for Nurse and Oshane Thomas in for Narine who has shown complete contempt for West Indies cricket thus far. Otherwise good though with batting down to 9 (10 if Narine is included)

I'd like the idea of left arm spin of either Allen of Khary Pierre.

Narine is the one who shouldn't be there but in white ball cricket I think the most important player has become your spinner who garuntees you 4 rpo and 2/3 key wickets in the middle overs. You need two spinners and nurse does a good job with bat and ball (not catching) and Narine can more or less garuntees 4 rpo. He doesn't deserve it at all but with him he solves a lot of issues. I would also like to have Campbell over Lewis as evin has not shown the right attitude either but can be replaced. Campbell has had one real failure in 8 international innings

What the latest on his bowling action? Is he still a chucker?

I am starting to like this John Campbell. Perhaps the smoothest transition from regional team to senior in my lifetime. The guy looks like the real deal. He's no Leon Garrick nor Devon Smith

I like him just as much as anything seems a good bloke and team man and I'm willing him to last in itnl cricket!

I'm sure Narine is clear to play but he has been saying he isn't sure if he can as has lost confidence due to the action being called

Rakheem the Great with another 5-wicket haul...And there's still one more wicket remaining for Jamaica. He might get 6.

Brandon King missed out on a century, falling to Rakheem the Great for 95

He should try to come back to us. He bowled a freaking maiden in a super over, but have no confidence in playing for us?

Priorities I tell yah
