I thought Rod Marsh would bring some sanity to the selection process, but picking Solanki, Key, Clarke, and Harmison are worthy of sending him packing straight away.

I can see an argument for Solanki - selecting him as an opener is a gamble I guess, but it gives him a few years to settle into the role.
