They're also on the verge of reaching 2000 runs apparently.Mitchell Johnson's on 299. Any instances of two players reaching a landmark like this in the same Test before?
#cricinfolifeThey're also on the verge of reaching 2000 runs apparently.
This made me consider the possibility of Nathan Lyon one day making a test century, which would definitely be the best thing to ever happen.Nathan Lyon clean bowled on 97.
How about Jimmy taking his 400th wicket and Cook becoming England's highest test run scorer at Headingly this year? The only somewhat similar thing I can think of is Cook and Clarke both captaining their 100th match at the WACA last series.
MJ's on 1999 runs. They're also on the verge of reaching 2000 runs apparently.
Would be pretty similar to the Gillespie one imo. This made me consider the possibility of Nathan Lyon one day making a test century, which would definitely be the best thing to ever happen.
He's not necessarily always going to be at eleven though. Scoring the whole lot in partnership with other tailenders if he comes in at 9 for example is a lot more believable, and he's a regularish nightwatchman too which could give him a different sort of opportunity at it.Thing with Nath making a ton is that it would have to be almost entirely with the number 10 or another bunny at the other end. When there's a recognised batsman in he never even tries to score (except the compulsive sweep).
funny how **** is censored and nightwatchman isn'tHe's not necessarily always going to be at eleven though. Closest I guess.David Warner
