Its called English because we wanted to keep it that way, just so you can still have something to be proud of in your ghastly little island. Otherwise, It'd be 'American.' ;)
It's called English because the language is a culmination of England's culture. Take latin and french. Anglocise. Go to other places. Encounter other cultures. Imprison them. Steal the best words from their language and anglocise them.

America's heavy-handed butchery of the language is borne out of the steriotypical American idiot who can't spell and thinks his random use of the language makes it unique and gives it a feeling of being his (see "Bushisms).

If it was a reflection of British "culture", than English would not exist as a coherent language.

Get over it mate. Things are spelt differently - what's the big deal? You can still understand what the words are, just give it up and save us all some time.

Please don't do this. It's just shameless flame-baiting, you're abusing an entire nation here.

How could you take somebody with Ajit Agarker in the Av seriously anyway?

The real question is - how can you take anyone who doesn't have Ajit Agarkar as their photo seriously? They are obviously in denial.

Why are you getting so sensitive. It is just a language. Its not like hes insulting the English people, hes just criticizing their interpretation of the language.
