Doesn't matter what is the duration of his spasmodic appearances but the results of his appearances are well and truly breath taking !!!

Not really.

In the last couple of years, his performances have deteriorated markedly (Average well up, going at over 5 runs an over)

He's lucky Pakistan dont have better back-up because his performances havent been too flash at all

Either Pollock or Hussey, I'd say. Ponting also fairly close.

Symonds-One of the best bats going around (although little incosistent)
-One of best if not best fielder in the world
-Underrated bowler. Often goes through 6-8 overs for less than 30 which invaluable. Also can bowl offies or meds
