eh...I think the catching's been mostly reliable since Bumrah's advent (other than a couple of gaffes in Adelaide on the last tour)

For that last series India played in Australia no. India's fielding (catching) was atrocious. Credit to Bumrah and co that they weren't disheartened and didn't give up. They stuck to their guns and still did their thing in Australia.

In Australia he is. Unlike Steyn, you can usually rely on Bumrah on keeping things tight even when he's off-color and creating opportunities for guys bowling at the other end.

Voted for Bumrah. He has good enough figures for me to let my Bumrah love sway the vote. He will tour Australia more in future and can have his figures sobered up. Will be fun to see how it goes.

If someone told me 5 years back that an Indian fast bowler would be the best to tour Australia since Ambrose, I would just laugh it off.

Amazing how time can change things rapidly, from a specialist T20 bowler to be picked for South Africa tests as an experiment in 2018, later becoming an ATG material.

I dont believe in comparing retired guys to current players. But even with that proviso, right now, I would take Steyn's performances.

I can understand the confusion with Title. But the option was a straight give away that we are discussing only performance in Australia. Otherwise Tremlett, Kyle Abbott would never be in option.

Yeah I get it but just answering your question as to why people are responding to the thread title at face value, it shouldn't be a shock
