Who after a full career remains the worst tailender you have seen?

Coronis

International Coach
Bill Bowes would be a candidate (although I didn't see him play, I saw cartoons by Roy Ulyett depicting him.) He took more FC wickets (1639) than he scored runs (1531). The same applied to Tests (68 wickets and 28 runs).

Players who took more wickets than the amount of runs they scored in tests (min 50 wickets)

Bhagwat Chandrasekhar 242 wickets 167 runs
Chris Martin 233 wickets 132 runs
Bruce Reid 113 wickets 93 runs
Pragyan Ojha 113 wickets 89 runs
Jack Saunders 79 wickets 39 runs
Bert Ironmonger 74 wickets 42 runs
Bill Bowes 68 wickets 28 runs
Narendra Hirwani 66 wickets 54 runs
Asitha Fernando* 64 wickets 48 runs
Ken Farnes 60 wickets 58 runs
Roy Tattersall 58 wickets 50 runs

International Captain
The answer is clearly the king, Chris Martin (pace).

Is interesting though that Jack Saunders more than doubled his Test run total with wickets.

Obviously never saw him but Bert Ironmonger was awful with the bat, and practically useless in the field from all I’ve heard.
Ironmonger at least had the excuse of being insanely old when he played his Tests.

As PEWS said what was scary about Martin was that he didn't get better during his career. Most rank tailenders at least do.
