Blackham is the reserve keeper right now. Actually, it's a home series, you don't need a reserve keeper. Blackham out then, who should come in? Border, Harvey, Benaud or Spofforth?
I reckon Border. No, Benaud. No Spofforth. Sod it, they're all awesome...

I would have Morris over Ponsford though, just personally.

West Indies
Greenidge, Hunte, Haynes, Richards, Lara, Headley, Sobers, Weekes, Dujon, Walcott, Marshall, Ambrose, Garner, Holding, Roberts, Gibbs

Notable exclusions: Worrell, Walsh

Australia
Trumper, Hayden, Ponsford, Bradman, Ponting, Chappell, Waugh, Miller, Gilchrist, Blackham, McGrath, Lillee, Davidson, Lindwall, Warne, O'Reilly

Notable exclusions: Morris, Border, Harvey, Benaud, Spofforth (for either Ponsford or Blackham)

Please provide feedback so we can finalize the squads and get this going!
And I'd have to take Worrell over Haynes or maybe Roberts.

Neil Harvey...better fieldsman than Border...Would not bring in another bowler.

Pretty sure he spent most of his time in the middle order.
Actually you piqued my interest in this fact and out of "the good book" came the following

Opening 6 Avg 49.40
#3 23 53.95
# 4 10 76.22
# 5 23 59.44
# 6 8 13.25
# 7 13 30.17
# 8 3 21.33
# 9 1 73 not out

So the general consenus is that Worrell was a middle order batsmen. Then, you are quite justified in leaving him out the squad as there is simply not enough space IMO.

I still haven't voted, and not sure I will. Really can't decide between Australia and West Indies, and I think England are well in the mix as well.

I voted for australia because they have had two great dominant eras, Bradmans invincables and the current one now. West Indies have only had one in the 80s.
Bradman is very good but he couldn't make the australian team invincible all by himself so there must be quality players around + todays eras lot and they would beat th west indies.

Walsh over Roberts and that squad is set.

Walsh over Roberts and that squad is set.
I watched them both and thought Roberts clearly the better bowler, and a much better bat. He was mean as well; he would often bowl a quick bouncer which the batsman would smash to the boundary. He would then bowl a much quicker bouncer that cleaned up quite a few batsman, including Hooksey and Both:)

I agree with that BUT that would be the main reason I would have Walsh over Roberts as Roberts had a tendency to the temperamental which against such an aussie batting lineup means they could carve him up.

I think u are right in saying that Either WI or AUSS for #1 and 2, but as far 3 is concern i think Pak beats eng pretty easily....just the balance that Pak has with between its Bowlers and batsmen is amazingly awesome. Pak may even give WI and AUSSies run for their money as #1 and # 2 too.
Pakistan wouldn't have a chance against West Indies or Australia......the only thing Pakistan have going for them really is a good pace attack....batting wise, I don't think Pakistan compares to any of WI, AUs or Eng.

As for Pakistan beating England quite easily, are you mad ??? England have the better batsmen and their fast bowling pool is every bit as good as Pakistan with the likes of Trueman, Tyson, Snow, Bedser, Larwood et al

In fact I'd rate India as having produced better batsmen than Pakistan.
Pakistan simply don't have the all round quality to be ranked in the top 3 of all time sides.
