Should point out that VC4 only cares for test averages, not averages in certain grounds/countries or against opponents.

i dont think that shood be too much of a problem in Clyde Walcotts case, he does average 56.

The Don has returned!

Well, bit of a slaughter there to be honest. But I'd expect that if Bradman continues to get a tonne+.

Well, it had to happen - the Don tonning up big time and inspiring the Aussies to a one-nil lead in the series. After sharing so many famous partnerships with Ponsford, perhaps seeing Bill up the other end finally had him feeling more at home. Ponny deserves praise as well - clearly stung by the criticism that he couldn't handle express pace bowling after his struggles against Larwood, he's worked hard during his time out of the side and returned with a superb ton. Great to see Miller making runs down the order too, an excellent half century from him.

The bowlers worked superbly as a unit, sharing the wickets and keeping the pressure on constantly. Spofforth justified his selection and should stay in the side, while for the Windies credit to Holding for leading the attack in the face of the Australian batting onslaught, and Sobers did what he could in the second innings with the bat, but it was undeniably Australia's match. They're clearly fired up after being outplayed by the Windies at home.

Roll on the 2nd Test.

That's a moot point here Cameron. Don't ruin it.
You really don't get it, do you?
Haha wow, was only pointing out something that those who didn't have any experience with VC4 might not have known. Have probably only made around 5 posts in the thread, and while I've seen the games I've not really been following the rest of the posts, so I wasn't sure how much people knew about what the sim takes into account. Wasn't trying to do anything other than help. Apologies.

^ contemplating changing my vote to brumby in BOMIII tbh :p

Great stuff from the Aussies - coming out firing. Ponsford and Bradman - to paraphrase one British parliamentarian they've only been surpassed as a dynamic duo of destruction by Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler!

The bowling was the real star here though, however. 585 is a formidable first innings score, but to restrict that Windies line up to a lot less than that over the course of two innings is a special effort.

Tipping a white-wash from here tbh! ;)

Can see the headline now:
"West Indies All Time Greats Disappointing - 5-Nil"

Not getting at all ahead of ourselves with 4 tests left to play and having been humbled last time, are we? :)

Keeping my promise to play Walcott. Haynes, Richards and Walsh's spots up for contention if they fail, especially the batsmen considering the pitch. Anything near decent from Walsh will be acceptable IMO.

You'd can retain Haynes after his efforts there ahead of Greenidge, but give Headley the flick?
