With Miller and Imran won't be too bad honestlywhat's next? ****boy XI?
This.I think the gap between Sachin and Viv is almost non existent while I think there's a gap between Steyn and McGrath so going Viv/McG
Not in the slightest tbh.this actually doesn't make sense
So of the people who liked this, Coronis and PEWS don't like Viv, expected... Luffy worships the Indian big three, so no surprise. This might be an unpopular opinion but the gap between Sachin and Richards is slightly bigger for me than the gap between Mcgrath and Steyn
Actually he has an excellent team.388K views · 3.1K reactions | Allan Donald | All Time XI | 📺 South Africa great, Allan Donald, selects his All Time XI! What do you make of his selections? 🤔 | By Lord's Cricket Ground | Facebook

Oh no, we offended kyear. @Prince EWS @capt_Luffy @OverratedSanitySo of the people who liked this, Coronis and PEWS don't like Viv, expected... Luffy worships the Indian big three, so no surprise.
But @OverratedSanity interested in your take. Is it that you believe there's a sizeable gap between Sachin and Viv or you rate Steyn really close to McGrath, or both?
I don't really know what to add. I agree that the small gap between McGrath and Steyn is smaller than the small gap between Sachin and Viv. That's about it.So of the people who liked this, Coronis and PEWS don't like Viv, expected... Luffy worships the Indian big three, so no surprise.

Rates them higher than kyear? I haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary re: his opinions on them.I don't really know what to add. I agree that the small gap between McGrath and Steyn is smaller than the small gap between Sachin and Viv. That's about it.
What is the Indian big three that @capt_Luffy worships by the way? Need to know so that I can do it too.
Outside the SC, McGrath was every bit the high impact match player that Steyn was just at a slower SR.Consistency : McGrath > Steyn
Explosive : Steyn > McGrath
It depends on what you seek in a pacer
Steyn was similar to his predecessor Donald. On his day, he could run through an attack but he could leak runs which happened a lot.Steyn could literally lose you games when not clicking.
McGrath won't lose anything. He was a machine.
Yeah but McGrath and Ambrose on their day could run through lineups too.Steyn was similar to his predecessor Donald. On his day, he could run through an attack but he could leak runs which happened a lot.
McGrath/Ambrose are quite similar - Even on those days they may not get wickets, they are literally impossible to score runs against.
Steyn is like Rabada (but effective everywhere)Steyn was similar to his predecessor Donald. On his day, he could run through an attack but he could leak runs which happened a lot.

Steyn has 3 fewer 5fers and 2 more 10fers in 30 fewer matches.Yeah but McGrath and Ambrose on their day could run through lineups too.
Just to remind folks, McGrath has 2 8fers and 2 7fers to 1 7fer for Steyn.
Much of the gulf can be explained with McGrath having Warne and others to compete with wickets with but Steyn is a fifer king no doubt for quick impactful spells.Steyn has 3 fewer 5fers and 2 more 10fers in 30 fewer matches.
Steyn bowled in a pretty good overall attack, especially in the 2010s. He had no Warne to compete with for, but Philander, Morkel, Abbott, later on Rabada were all real threats, especially at Home.Much of the gulf can be explained with McGrath having Warne and others to compete with wickets with but Steyn is a fifer king no doubt for quick impactful spells.
