this thread is good, but i think it would be only fair to compare batsmen as well
lets say S Waugh, Ponting and Hayden to Yohanna, Inzy and umar....

Sounds like a good idea for a new thread if anything? *shrugs*age_master said:this thread is good, but i think it would be only fair to compare batsmen as welllets say S Waugh, Ponting and Hayden to Yohanna, Inzy and umar....
Or you could try and be fair and include the likes of Miandad, but then again since he's better than all 3 of those Aussies, you wouldn't like that.age_master said:this thread is good, but i think it would be only fair to compare batsmen as welllets say S Waugh, Ponting and Hayden to Yohanna, Inzy and umar....
I am not sure you would have left out Imran if you had seen him at his prime . He was really fast . Once , I think the first time such an excercise was undertaken, he was measured as the fastest bowler in the world.masterblaster said:Wasim, Waqar, McGrath, Gillespie
Now that would be an awesome attack.
A genuine tearaway in Waqar (in his prime), a swing king in Wasim, an accuracy dynamo in McGrath and with the intensity and heart of Gillespie.

The latter perhaps. The former I disagree.masterblaster said:I believe that Wasim Akram is the greatest fast bowler of all time and the greatest swing bowler of all time and not Glenn McGrath!
Are you sure Ricky Ponting is not the greatest batsman and Glen McGrath is not the greatest bowler.masterblaster said:Oh yeah tooextracool,
I believe that Sachin Tendulkar not Ricky Ponting is the greatest batsman I have ever seen play and is the greatest batsman of my generation (since watching cricket from 1987),
also
I believe that Wasim Akram is the greatest fast bowler of all time and the greatest swing bowler of all time and not Glenn McGrath!

Lillee and Thommo were part of a quartet for some time....I think.......of course they were the dominant members, but I think they had Lillee, Thompson, Gilmour and Walker at the same time....Arjun said:or the pair of Lillee and Thomson.

Have you thought this out properly and looked at it from all angles.
Wasim does have Double century against Zim in test, I haven't seen much of imran but wasim was a big hittermarc71178 said:Imran adds a lot with the bat, but Wasim doesn't add that big a deal IMO - a good number 9 and at times brutal, but not one I'd rely on.
