Which is the Strongest World XI Ever Assembled?

There has been several lineups of world players assembled in modern cricket history, but which would be the strongest in terms of actual team play?

You had the following lineups which I can recall:

71/72 Rest of the World
WSC teams
The 87 MCC vs ROW game
The 98 Princess Diana Memorial match teams
The 2005 Super test team

Perceived by some to have won a world cup, what did those others do?
Well you can't exactly have multiple World XIs playing in a WC can you? Remarkable anyhow that the so-called 'England' wasn't booted out and replaced by a better set of mercenaries for their continued underperformance. It is nice though that the ICC have allowed them to continue with help from South Africa in particular, in recognition of their great past contribution to the game.

Interesting as the discussion is, what it mainly does is annoy me all over again for the thousandth time that the 1970 and 1971/72 series' don't count as Test matches but the one-off match in 2005 that no one cared about does. Either they all count, or none of them do.

No fans are as delusional as English fans

won the moral Ashes

won the 2019 World Cup

Jimmy Anderson GOAT fast bowler

have to poach from all over the world to get a competitive team because their genetics are so bad
Why this attack on England, they invented the sport nobody would be playing cricket if it wasn't for England brother.

There was a team that toured Australia in 2001 and were robbed of a series win by poor umpiring. I believe that team scored 4 100s in the 1st innings at the WACA in that series in a match they dominated and would've won at the Gabba too if not for negative bowling by McGarth.

It wasn't really a World XI though but had an Italian SLA.

@TheJediBrah
I'll give you that NZ did play a really good Test in Perth, even if umpiring robbed Warne of a century (and probably a double that would have won Aus the game).

But they rightfully have been demolished in literally ever other Test match they've played against Australia in my lifetime barring the one lottery greentop of Hobart 2011

Also that 2001/02 Aus side dominated every other Test of the summer including a 5-1 flogging home and away of supposed no. 2 side in the world SA
