Myself, Jono, Adharcric, Turbinator, Dasa, unccricket, R_D, Manee, ret, jeevan, Janus, irfan, and duffer all live outside of India.

Thats 13/16 Indian fans so far living outside of India!
What I wonder is how many of you have at one point lived there...
Manan (ss) - yes
Akhil (adharcric) - not sure
Aseem (Turb) - pretty sure yes
ret - new member, haven't a clue
jeevan - not sure
unccricket - new member, haven't a clue
Jono - don't think so but maybe wrong
Dasa - not sure
R_D - yes?
irfan - not sure
duffer - don't think so but maybe wrong
Manee - don't think so but maybe wrong
Janus - thought he was Irish
And another thing that fascinates me is how "Indian" each of you consider yourselves in respects other than cricket.

You can add Anil, Sangrah (mb), Manju (alternative), Gaurav (cricketboy29), Nishant, viktor and "Dravid" to the list of Indian-fans-living-in-UK\Aus\US\elsewhere too, whether they vote or not, of course. There was C_C and even Nikhil Nichiani in the olde days too.

OTOH can only think of SJS, Arjun, Honest, Pratyush, Vish Reddy, bi and Shankar who are Indian-fan CW posters living (or still living) in India. And there's Karthik (Deja moo) who hasn't posted in years but was a CWer for ages. Not sure if Sriram (Agent TBY) counts as he's not really a cricket fan. And Yaju of course, not sure there either.

Sudeep fits both categories - AFAIK, India is still home for him, but he's studying in USA currently.

And there's tec who is the other way around of course - an Englishman living in Bangalore. And of course Raghav and Sameer (pup11) who prefer other countries.

And among Lankans there's also Tharmi, JASON and Anthony (JBH001) who live in Australia and\or New Zealand, plus Mahinda who lives over here and Lostman who lives in USA. There's Legglancer too, who doesn't have a location in his profile. Only Lankan I can ever remember on CW who lives in Sri Lanka is a recent addition, Migara.

And the story is very similar for Pakistanis, to boot. Only 2 Pakistan fans have voted so far tho. Still got np10, FRAZ, sp713, Yawer, Xuhaib and BhupinderSingh. EDIT: o0o0o0oh, forgot Salamuddin Janissar, he won't be happy. There was Fardin, too. :( But yeah, Pakistanis are remarkably under-reprisented on here.

Both NP10 and SP713 have slowed down in their posting rate. The slow-down is specially dramatic for NP10, I hope things are well with him. Off the top of my head, some other Pakistani posters that pop-up here from time to time are Godofcricket, Bouncer, Gunner, and BhupinderSingh.

Dunno how I could've forgotten BhupinderSingh TBH, one of my fave posters in recent times.

Regarding np10 - reckon he's finally got sick of the Murali gags TBH. On the other hand, sp713 has always been like this - has "on" periods and "off" periods. I thought we'd lost him before now. But godofcricket is a really even more strange case - he's been around as long as me, checks-in fairly regularly (never seen him go a month without his last-activity date changing, though obviously I've had plenty of said times myself so there's gaps in my "history") but hardly ever posts (628 in 5-and-a-half years :-O). There's a West Indian guy of the same ilk, too, Slifer.

Surprised at myself for forgetting Bouncer too actually. His visits, rare as they are, are usually memorable. :p

I'll see if I can brainstorm a few names from elsewhere who I hope vote in due course...

Craig (he's back on March 18th so if we can keep this poll on top for that long...), Neil (unusually tardy by his standards), sledger (depends on his ban), Simon, Kyle, Mat Mitchell, le (depends on his health, which we all hope will be back in tip-top form ASAP), Andy Cameron, Sean Fuller, Sean Bennett (presume he'll vote Scotland of course...), Andy Garven, Dan Smith, Dav, Halz, the boss, tec, Colin (aussie), Pete Y, Geg, Matt Pitt, Rob Dauth, Rob Malone, Sean Ehlers, Tim Evans, Clapo, Matt of '79, Andy Cloete, Swervy, Dan Towns, Rich Twyman, Seam Fullins, nibblet, ash chaulk, Sammie Baker, Tarick, Steulen (need all the Dutchmen we can get!), Rich Edmunds, Corey Taylor, KaZoH0lic (has posted but not voted ), N**k B***ich, James Stedman (the only known Aussie to be a Bangladesh fan), Rob Hing, Liam Howgate, Ian Markus, Linda Philipps, howardj, Patrick Gundry, social, KennyD, Anna Butler, Tom Bowman, Blake, McPinch, George, Stephen Young (need some Irish too!), David Lewis (again has posted but not voted), Josh, John Newton, Mark Newton, Somerset, Eclipse, 16toS, Heath Davis, grecian, cpr, amz, Ethan, simmy, Natman20, Dylan Jellett, KiWi, Dave Watt, NUFAN, zinzan12, Laurrz, SirBloody Idiot, Chris Butler, Darren Dubb-Lynch, Majin, David Hoitink, Martin Denyer, Jack Firth, SpaceMonkey, Nick Hancock, BlackCap_Fan, Rodney Ulyate, MoxPearl, Dark Hunter, DoG, Poker Boy, Joanna, chalky, stumpski and garage flower. If anyone who might be able to would point them in the direction of this poll, t'would be good.

There's also Rik, Marc and Brendan, of course, so you can add 2 votes to the England and 1 to the Australia tally, as I presume they won't return just to vote here. And Reuben (l_o_d) is another unlikely-'un.

No Lankans have voted so far at all. Kinda weird that there's 3 votes for Kenya and none for Sri Lanka or Bangladesh yet, and just 2 more for NZ than Kenya so far too.

Haha. What a coincidence that we should be discussing this the day before your 43rd birthday (if the date on the CW calender is right ).

:happybday fella - hope you read this post sometime soon.
It is indeed correct and thanks!

Feeling all of my 43 years after bowling in the nets for two hours last night..

India first.
Australia used to be the 2nd fav, esp during Steve Waugh's captaincy..have gone away from them recently, probably because most of the players I liked have retired and haven't watched enough of the new ones to form a liking..

I wish I was bowling. :@ Most I've looked forwards to a season in ages (am actually vaguely fit for the first time in my life; will be able to play regularly rather than just the occasional Wednesday for the first time in 5 seasons; have got myself some new spikes; and fully intend to actually bowl on occasions other than in matches, including some plans for practising reverse-swing) and it still hasn't started.

I know that! :p Hard to miss, TBH.

It's hard to miss who most people on CW support in fact, I could give you a decent stab at naming everyone with, perhaps, 500 posts, but I just want this poll filled-in to the maximum extent possible.

I reckon the overwhelming majority of voters will vote consistently for where they were born or at least where their heritage is on this one. It will be very interesting to see who, if anyone, doesn't.
I can think of no more than a very small handful: Indians (Sameer [pup11] and Raghav) who dislike the Indian cricket system and hence support someone else (Australia and New Zealand respectively); TT_Boy who I've never been 100% sure whether he supports England or South Africa most, or whether he has any absolute birth\heritage ties to either; Colin (aussie) who supports Australia despite being mixed British\West Indian in heritage; Geg (NZTailender) who supports NZ despite being Aussie; and James Stedman who supports Bangladesh despite being an Aussie (George Roberts almost falls into the same camp, but not quite).

As I say, though - there's been 1 occasion in my life when I've honestly thought I was supporting South Africa ahead of England. That could quite conceivably happen again, and I'll be interested to see what my feelings are come this summer. There's also Rodders (nev) who says that despite continuing to be a Proteas fan he feels plentiful strength of attraction to England and Australia as cricket nations. Not quite the same as me, but similar.

BTW, to my knowledge we have 2 Kiwis who now live in Australia on CW, in James and Craig.
What could also be interesting is who CWers would support last among international teams. I'd think Australia would surely romp away with that poll.
Maybe worth doing this sometime in future. Now would not be a wise time, after the recent furores.

Following the recent revelations that the BCCI were behind the move to prevent a play off round in the 2011 WC between Bang, Zim and the leading 6 Associates with the top 4 teams going through, I have revised my allegiances.

1.Kenya
2. Any other Associate playing a Test team.
3. Anyone playing India. What a bunch of short sighted selfish $#@%@s
