Which Country has most biased commentators?

I wouldn't have minded if there was any chance it could have been true tbh. But it's obviously a lie (and an extremely saccharine one at that) concocted in order to try and appear self-deprecating in order to get the approval of others. Tasteless and just total bullshit.

All of them. Anyone suggesting the contrary has blinkers on.
This.

There are three types of commentators,
- openly biased, who are hated by most of us
- and biased in a sophisticated and subtle way, these are the kind of commentators that are more damaging IMO, they can make you get on board with their BS
- biased, but professional enough to stay neutral while the commentate(rarity)

I dont know who they were, but whoever were commentating on the recent India vs South African ladies games were unbearable. I got to the point of using the mute button

In particular I really can't stand Michael Vaughan tbh. Completely disigenuous and utterly supercilious at all times.

For some reason I rewatched his retirement speech the other day. What a contrived load of bollocks that was.

“I haven’t been playing well enough, in some instances my body hasn’t been reacting the way I would like it to. And I guess two weeks ago when in the garden with my little lad Archie, he bowled a ball, it hit a weed and it knocked my off stump out of the ground. I think that was the time, if a three-year-old is bowling me out, then it’s time to move over."

Cute soundbite. But this obviously never ****ing happened. **** you, Michael. WAC.
Have you seen Michael Vaughan's defensive technique? Eminently possible imo

Haha....the two indian ladies, Anjum Chopra and Snehal Pradhan, were pretty bad.

If we are talking about individuals, no one comes close to Rohan Gavaskar, he is atrocious. And the worst part is, the guy doesn't even try to improve because he knows he'll keep getting these gigs due to Sunny G.

I think it is a little sad that we have such bad commentators, we'll easily find people in the country who can commentate really well. Dravid and Ganguly were so damn good, why can't we get others like them?

Despite of how much Bhogle is hated here, I like him coz I like people who commentate like fans of the game over the "know-it-all" types. People like him can be paired up with knowledgeable blokes like Ian Chappell, Dravid, etc. who care about the game and it'll be a treat to listen to them.

Also, regular commentators aside, I wonder what CW thinks of people like Dan Morrison and Navjot Singh Sidhu

I was thinking this yesterday when I watched highlights of the third T20 - admittedly a great performance by India in that game, but the way they were carrying on made it sound like they were an unstoppable force dominating the series. The series scoreline says otherwise.

Yep exactly, thats what I felt, I understand the whole host broadcaster upping the home side, but they crossed the line IMHO

I mostly don't have an issue with biased commentary unless it's just too much to handle - Gavaskar/Healy levels. Mostly I have an issue with shitty commentary, which is a massive issue in other sports for me. NBA especially bad for this, nearly every national commentator is disgustingly awful and (despite nearly all of them being ex-pros) literally do not understand the game as it is played now. Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber. The list is endless.

I don't find this kind of commentary too prevalent in cricket, at least in the cricket I watch. Maybe it's due to there being less second to second analysis required for cricket. But that's the kind of commentary that I find particularly grating personally.
