It wasn't a great knock but was surely a very good and useful one.As for his bowling, the pitches in SA will suit his bowling, i think Bangar will be a part of Indian squad, Ganguly has faith in him

Probably as Ganguly, rightly, has no faith in his own ability to bowl...

Stupid comment - he bowls in the majority of games, so he must have some faith in his own ability.

Yup i was just going to say that ganguly can bowl quite well at sometime if he works on his own bowling india doesnt need another all rounder as ganguly is good with the bat when he is in form.. that way india can work on bringing on maybe another batsmen

Agarkar Rocks!!

Wonderful performance by the mumbai cricketer, he has been a dissapointment in previous few occasions but the lad is too good to fail for long.In the last oneday match Ajit totally distroyed the Windies team by his aggressive and tight bowling and proved as to why he's still India's top oneday bowler .

Bangar also did well, i can see that with Ajit and Bangar India has the best allrounder duo in cricket world right now!

You had to ruin your post by making a stupid statement at the end - Agit is very inconsistent for a start. And to suggest they're a better pairing than for instance Pollock and Kallis is stupid!

Dream on man... Agarkar and Bangar combined are not even near the best all rounders in the cricket world right now

Both still need to prove much more to me against stronger opposition. Bangar I see as a stopgap rather than any long-term solution. Best all-rounders in world cricket? Sheesh even Flintoff and Irani (in ODIs) are better!:frog:

You know I am not a great fan of Agarkar, but he has won more matches for his country than Bangar and Flintoff and Irani put together for their countries. What has Irani or for that matter, a hernia ridden Flintoff done in the recent past to be ranked above Agarkar(you did say, at the moment)?

Bangar has been a revelation in this series. I sure hope he can carry this form on to the bouncy pitches of SA.

Irani destroyed India and bowled well all series, he also passed 50 in the series, something which Agarkar failed to even get close to. Flintoff scored quite a lot of runs and took useful wickets...Agarkar just got wacked. Answer your question?

Please refrain from personal attacks, everyone is entitled to her/his own opinion.I don't expect much from a person, who can't even spell Ajit, and to think he/she has come up with an allrounder rating:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I can't understand as to why are the Englishmen always trying to compare their cricketers with Indian cricketers?? I mean the topic is about Indian allrounder, and suddenly we see Englishmen comparing Indian allrounders with the Great English allrounder.
Irani is not even a cricket of International level, what's the purpose of mentioning him?? If the allrounder did well in a series or so it doesn't make him great, lets look at his career stats,

19 M W 16 Ave:35.6 St/Rt:48.6 4 Wkts:2

The Great English allrounder has less wkts than the number of matches he has actually played. His ave and St/rt is crap!
Not much to write about his batting either.

NOTE: Judging players by a single series is not wise. The claim that Roonie got a fifty and as such must be better than Ajit is laughable, Ajit recently got 95!! And against English attack, he did got a ton in test cricket!!

peace!
